I want this game for the holidays!!!
Stacker? OK.......
I liked this quote:
"Tetris' suggestively twisting and turning blocks, violent falling motions, and increasingly frenzied suspense are a potential influence on children," said video-game ethicist Steve Contreras.
lmao... I'm sure as we speak Jack Thomspon has already found a million things wrong with it XD

I read that yesterday or something on Gamepolitics. Well, it's a nice attempt to be a satire, but not really succeeding.
That is so awesome. Sounds like something my mom would approve of.
Incidentally, Tetris has a much greater effect on me than any first person shooter. After playing it for a while, I just feel like smashing things/people.

1.Stacker sounds like stacked, thus making it a sexual reference. It must be destroyed!
2.Stacker also sounds like stalker, do we really want our children to think it's alright to stalk people!?
Stacker is corrupting the minds of our poor, easily brainwashed children!!![/Jack Thompson]
A vertical stack of wooden crates? Perhaps they intended a "vertical stack of wood" which is nothing more than a blatant reference to the phallus!

The most violent reaction I ever had to a game was Oregon Trail 2. That game was fucking evil, and after the third time my entire party was wiped out before reaching the half way point I just wanted to go out and kill someone.

Disassociated Press, December 15th, 2005. San Jose California.
Two children, Derrick Anderson and Ryan Avila, ages 10 and 11, were emulating their favorite video game when tragedy struck The game, Stacker, involves stacking boxes in complex geometric formations. The two children were crushed when over a dozen 20 pound boxes they had been stacking in an abandoned warehouse became unstable and toppled down on the unsuspecting children.
In a press release, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) said, "These kinds of games that encourage egregious risk can no longer be tolerated. Sure, fun with spatial relationships may seem harmless on the surface, but the damage to today's children is evident. In addition to the dangers involved, these types of games lead to unacceptible behavior patterns that may encourage children to grow up to be furniture movers and interior designers. This cannot be allowed to continue." Ms. Clinton was later clipped by a passing taxi as her unchecked rush to the right caused her to sidle into traffic.
