In 9 days, I will be flying from Vancouver to Cancun. Does anybody know where I can find a list of items that are not allowed on planes (besides knives/guns)? I was wondering whether or not things such as my CDs would be allowed in my carry-on bag.

Benny Hill(rip) once said: The chances of there being a bomb on a plane are a million to one. The chances of there being two bombs on a plane are 10 million to one. So if you ever go on a plane, cut down your chances ... take a bomb.

Well, you could break a CD in two, and kill someone with the shards, so it's probably not allowed.

Oooh, "Small, sharp objects allowed on planes again" (http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/custom/attack/bal-screening1202,1,4728037.story?coll=bal-nationworld-headlines&ctrack=1&cset=true)

anyway.. from http://www.tsa.gov/

Interesting logic...I'll look into it.

CDs are fine,
Gameboys are fine (PSP for Sony fans)
Small boardgames are fine
magazines and books are fine,
clothes are encouraged. :p
Barf bags are provided.
CD players are allowed (duh)
duct tape looks suspicious, use your own judgment,
Portable DVD players MAY be okay, though they may looks suspicious under X-Ray, check with the airport by calling first.

That's all the carry on I could think of...

The severed head of the Hooker you murdered the night before isn't allowed on any plane. For some reason, they get real insistent about you waiting until an officer can speak to you, and won't let you go through.
Oh, and remember to loudly assure everyone "I don't have a bomb!" (Emphasizing "bomb" the most, so everyone hears clearly) while on the plane.

Cigarette lighters
Fireworks
Box cutters
Straight razors

Guns and ammunition are permitted as long as the gun is in a lockable case and is in a separate bag from the ammo. You have to check both bags and tell the airline employee that your bags contain a gun and ammunition.

EDIT: Oops. I didn't notice you were Canadian. Those are US regulations.
