I just spent f*cking AGES writing an issue... and then I submit it, only to find that my account has logged itself out during this time and I will NEVER, EVER get it back...

Yep something similar has happened to many.
Under the previous forums it was common to keep wordpad open so you could copy+paste you messages there in case the server ate them.

i do that when things are playing up here (with notepad)
you can tell when the servers are being funny
hell even when things aren't odd i copy n paste any big posts by default nowadays (worth doing that)

Normally, if you press "Back" immediatly you should still be able to see your post.
Well, atleast FireFox supports that
