Tanks!

The lovely 'military power' thread gave me an idea, I seem to recall doing this before with some success. Apparently some of the RPers come over here occasionaly and look things over, if only to laugh at everybody ;)
Anyway, this thread is for the discussion of tanks, as in armoured fighting vehicles, not hollow objects used to contain liquid.

Anyway, for overall silliest tank design of the century, I present for your consumption, the Tsar Tank!

I love that picture ;)

The Ultimate pwnage tank is, without a doubt, the "Maus" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panzer_VIII_Maus) from those silly little Nazis.

Damn you two! I read the title "Tanks" and think "Great, gonna post the newest Leopard 2 A6 EX and the PzH2000 for newer stuff and the biggest and most developed old one from WWII, namely the Maus - and when I get here, it's already all done in the first two posts... That's just crazy!

That's pretty neat. Star Wars-like.

What can I say, I like my tanks like I like my houses. Big, incapable of crossing bridges, and with a 128mm cannon on the front.

How about the freaky 3-turreted Soviet T-28 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-28), or the even freakier five-turreted T-35 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-35)?

Big, scary, slow, yet unable to defend themselves, despite their multiplicity of turrets, and gifted with tissue-thin armor. Can you imagine a tank more likely to attract huge amounts of hostile attention from every anti-tank gun crew, tank, and tank killer within a country mile?

:D

Interesting, but when you come down to it it is no stranger than the DD tanks.
