Ok, here's the story:
I'm going to be participating in a local Model UN competition, on the committee for the Review of the Elimination of World Poverty, and I will be representing the Russian Federation.
As we all know, the UN has always found World Poverty to be a problem, and have tried implementing multiple programs and policies in an attempt to eliminate it, though their efforts have obviously not succeeded yet.
Over the last decade (since the break-up of the USSR), Russia has been trying to make Capitalism and the World Market work within its nation. However, I am still unsure of the exact views or stances Russia would have for this issue, or what sort of things I should be researching.
Any suggestions?
