so i've got my winter festival tree all set up, but i realized it's missing something. it needs a star and crescent to go on top. anybody ever seen such a thing, or got any ideas on how to make one that doesn't look like crap?

You could try cutting out some cardboard templates then wrap them in tin foil.

Hmm, I'd think that a subversion of the traditional star might be amusing too.
Perhaps something that looked a bit like this (http://akuk.com/images_sm/akcat_3651.jpg)?

I haven't seen a star and crescent. I did have a Xmas tree with a cut out of porn stars in action as the topping, however.

Sorry they just don't do Christmas tree's in Muslim nations. At least the Muslims don't.

Bah, I have banned Christmas decorations in my home this year. I am sick to the back teeth of Christmas. It makes people too happy: they should be miserable, like me.

that's my backup plan. i'm kind of hoping to come up with a more 3 dimensional way to do it

So why the tree? If you want to make a statement in support of Islam you can probably find an actual Muslim holy day during the holiday season. If you want something to top a "winter festival" tree with, why not a pentagram of some sort, or antlers or a celtic cross or something?

So why the tree?
christmas trees aren't exactly connected to the jesus myth in any real sense. and i like them.
If you want to make a statement in support of Islam
why would i want to do a thing like that?

Just seems like a more obviously pagan/satanistic tree would make more sense. Firey pentagram topper, something like that.

Erect (no pun intended) a massive phallus made of fir-wood and pine boughs on the front yard and light it on Christmas to commemorate the festival of Saturnalia, the winter Solstice, and the Yule traditions of old.

My friend's mother (whom I call aunt Mona) buys christmas presents for Maher (my friend), she loves it. But then again, she lives here in Amerika.
