I'll have to say it's a toss up between the break I have in my classes after exams and the egg nog.

Oh, delicious egg nog, why aren't you available year round?

How about you?

(note the title of this thread is geared so all holidays are equally included/excluded/whatever, I don't care about those arguements anymore and want to hear good stuff, damnit)

We get egg nog here at thanksgiving and Easter too, these days. I love it.

My favourite part, though, has to be some combination of snowfall at night, breakfast puffs for breakfast Christmas morning, the little-known holdiay special "George and the Star", and a cute girl or two wearing a scarf.

What is egg nog? I thought it was an invention of the simpsons and why is it only avalaible during advent?

Depression. I love to wallow in it. I enjoy listening to all the sad songs and thinking deeply about how much I hate "The Holidays". Oh, that and getting drunk.

I love Christmas because it allows me to intensify my shadow war of passive aggression against everyone who has ever had the misfortune to meet me.
Think about it, I can declare war on Christmas, and that makes the Xtians twitch. Then I can send Religious-Themed Christmas cards and Bibles to all of the non-Christians that I know. Its a lose-lose for both sides of the spectrum, and there is no other time of the year that offers so much oppurtunity.

But someday, someone's going to send you an Easter basket on Darwin's birthday and your head will explode.

open fires :)

i love it being all cold outside (rainy and/or snowing optional) and being all warm and cosy inside.

also, i love the shitty and cheesy movies they show on tv on xmas day... eating yourself silly and then slouching about napping in front of a log fire, watching crap movies in the middle of the day... good stuff :)

You can make your own disgusting egg nog. It's rather easy.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. But, how do you manage that without her looking at you, ever?

I think he doesn't know what he's saying. He means "hitting her with a snowball". Not...you know.

Scarves are the best thing about this time of year. And month-long holidays. Gotta love those.

:( Mine starts next Saturday at noon. Although I'm getting a break from school and my family for another four days after that. :)

As much as I love my family, they stress me out more than exams do. Especially around the holidays.

I would rather have good egg nog than disgusting egg nog.

^Egg nog.

Definitely not something invented by the Simpsons. It's pretty good stuff, imo.

This year what I like best about this time of year is just watching my almost-2-year-old get excited about twinkle lights, tacky light-up lawn ornaments, snow (aka "nose" in her world - lol), cookies, presents, singing (and dancing), dumb christmas tv movies and everything...

oh, and football in the snow. (of the american variety, that is.)
