I'm just about to start drinking some shit ass Busch light because I'm poor. So, I'm wondering what everyone's favorite beer is? If you dont' drink beer what is your drink of choice?
Or if you are a youngin or an abstainer than press the back button :p

Chimay is good if you like a strong, dark, trappist ale, but the price is pretty steep. Delerium Tremens is a good belgian white, and Delerium Nocturna is a good belgian brown. Maudite is a pretty tastey french-canadian brown ale, but its very bitter. Duvel and Hoegartten (could be Hoegardden) are very nice belgian white ales, though the latter is very acidic. Dunno how widely available any of those are, though, I'm lucky enough to live in an area with a few huge wholesalers that are open to the public.

Gah! Its Bud in a green bottle. Watery, bland, Americanized garbage. Unless you're actually in Germany, in which case whats sold as Heineken is pretty average.

I like Murphy's, and Guiness, for Stouts which is what I mostly drink.
I like Mcewan's,Bass, and Harp for Ale.
and Red Stripe for a nice Pilsner.
Now there some Micros I also like but these are all available just about anywhere in America.
Good Pilsners are also Pacifico, Dos Equis, Tecate, Bohemia, I like Modella Carte Blanca, and Negro Modello--you know.
I can understand being poor. I am drinking Miller High Life 40 oz. It is my poor man drink. As far as best goes I am not partial to brand, but hefewizen is my favorite type of beer.

Depends really. I am quite partial to Tetleys, and will drink any lager with the exception of Carling C2 or Budweiser, which are both foul. Actually, factor in any low calorie/alcohol lagers.
Generally I drink Carling, or Carling Extra Cold (its the only lager they sell in the pub where I work that doesnt come in a bottle).
That said, the biggest sellers where I work are as follows:
Carling Extra Cold/Holsten Pils (bottle)
Stones' Bitter (a.k.a. Stones' Rough)
Worthingtons Creamflow
Now, if we are talking alcohol in general, Glenfiddich and Glenmorange are both great whiskys. Laphroaig is nice, but a bit of an acquired taste. Lambs Navy Rum (straight) is quite simply the best drink in the world.
EDIT: Being poor in England means nothing. £5.50 will buy you 8 cans of Carling and thats all I need.
Oh and I forgot, Southern Comfort is the best/worst drink on the planet.

I can't stand beer. I have a friend who calls the stuff "piss in a bottle" and to me, it may as well be. I'm told european beer isn't as bad as the american cheap junk, but I haven't tried it.
So what do I drink? I'm very partial to wine coolers for every-day consumption. Although depending on my mood most wines are palletable, unless they're too dry. To dry makes it terrible, to me.

Seconded. I've got a six of it in the fridge. They sell it all over the state, I lived in Sault Sainte Marie last year and I got it there. I live in Mt. Pleasant now and our local store has a good stockpile of it. I've seen it in Ann Arbor, too.
I also love Bells Kalamazoo Stout. Tasty.

It's not just the how dry a wine is, but the acid content too. You should try a decent marlborough county (NZ) sauvignon blanc, like cloudy bay. They are not to sweet, (actually fairly dry), but very delicate. Its the type of wine that even non-wine drinkers like.

He'Brew, the Chosen Beer. It's marketed toward Jews, but for some reason I'm partial to it even though it doesn't taste much different from Corona.
The only criticism I have is that it's about nine bucks for a six-pack.

Ah yes I went to Berlin last summer and the beer is of course amazing. I have to admit I was usually too drunk (and my German was pretty poor) so I don't really remember the names of most of what I drank. All I know is it was all better than the mainstream american crap we drink and at the supermarket you could get racks of bottles (all bigger than american bottles) for like 5 Euros so it was pretty awesome.
I do remember having Budweiser there but it wasn't the American Budweiser it was an unrelated Czech beer that was delicious. Anyways i'm going back to Southern Germany to fullfill a German minor for a semester so I'll be able to try all sorts of stuff and attend Oktober fest. Booyah.

I'm more of a hard liquor drinker, but for beers, i'm quite partial to Kilkenny. Haven't had a chance to try many micro brews yet.

There's a wonderful brew out of San Francisco called Anchor Steam Ale. This may very well be the best American beer.
A close runner-up for me is Chief Oshkosk, a great red ale out of Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
My father is extraordinarily fond of a British brew called Smithwick's.
There's a terrific Australian oatmeal stout called Sheaf Stout. Just be aware that a single bottle makes a full meal.
Of course, if you want truly magnificent beer, you have to homebrew. I brew an unbeatable stout, and I've been working for years on perfecting my red ale.

Microbrews, hands down. While some of them aren't very good, many of the worst micros are much better than what passes for mass-consumption "beer" here in the US. Some of my favorite breweries:
WASHINGTON
Red Hook
Hale's
Pike Place
Scuttlebutt
Flying Pig
Diamond Knot
OREGON
McMenamin's
Deschutes
Portland
MONTANA
Spanish Peaks
CALIFORNIA
Sudwerk
Hoppy
Rubicon
Anchor Steam
Sierra Nevada
That said, Canadian beers are really good on average, too. My favorite imports include:
Kostritzer
Ayinger
Double Diamond
Guinness

LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DRINK YELLOW BEER.
Really? One of my favourite beers is Blanche de Bruxelles. That's yellow...well, it's a yellow-ish. You wouldn't be surprised if your piss was that colour, I'll put it that way. Although piss generally has less head. Bad jokes welcome.
Guinness is always good, as is Everard's Tiger (I live in Leicester, the local stuff is amazing). If I want to get drunk on beer cheaply, Carlsberg all the way. Also, Staropramen and Budvar are damn good Czech lagers.

Guinness all the way. I do like ale too; Tanglefoot is particularly awesome, brewed at the Badger brewery in Dorset, mmmm. One time I had this gorgeous beer called Espresso Stout, which is like Guinness but with a coffee taste. Lager and bitter are the work of the devil. Excluding Hoegaarden, which is gorgeous.

Having spent a good deal of my childhood getting Stoned and Drunk I have to recommend the following:
Guinness (tap or can, avoid the bottles)

Irish Wiskey (almost any will do but Tullamore Dew is about the best and still affordable.)
Avoid carbombs Bailiey's makes a mess of a good pint!

That, sir, is an insult to both sodapop and ass. Honestly, I don't know why shitty beer is so popular here. It always shocks me when I go to a bar and they have both Stella and Bud on tap, the Stella is only a quarter more and my friends still order the Bud. GAH!

If you want to go commercial, then I'm buying Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale right now. MMMMMMM...... *drools*
I'm a fan of verrrrry dry beer. So Crown Lager and San Miguel Super Dry are great. I also like Corona. Due to my financial circumstances I often end up drinking Calrton Draught. Which isn't bad for a cheap, cheap beer. Better than VB or, Jebus forbid, XXXX.

I can't believe no one's mentioned Shiner! My brother-in-law's family started the company in 1906 in the town of Shiner, Texas. He said they built the brewery before they started on the school, so it's got to be good stuff. My brother-in-law's family is Czech, and he said the recipe for the beer was from the old country. It's a solid, dark brew, but expensive: $7.49 for a six-pack!

When I was in the Netherlands early this year, I tried a variety of beers and wound up having 3 favorites, some stuff called Palm which I have since never found again, Heineken which tastes nothing like the Heineken you can get in the US, and this Belgian white beer called Hoegaarden. I found a local liquor store that carries Hoegaarden and have been drinking that lately as well as some Brazilian stuff called Xingu.
