I think I have found out a great secret I must share with my fellow men.

Never say "I love you".

It only hurts more in the end...

With what I've experienced, I can only agree.

meh, i'd rather be open with my emotions and suffer the concequences for it later.
besides, if you really are open about things, there may be less chance of there being a time when you have to pay for such openness (if that makes any sense)

i'm in a relationship and i think i may have started saying it a little too early, but i still mean it (as far as i can tell... don't think you can really rationally know), so i say it :)

It is better to have loved and lost and all that sentimental shite.

I mean, love finds a way...

Christ, is there nothing I can say that isn't a cliche?

Thats damn good advice. I guess I should stop plotting revenge

How about:
You'll never find another woman as pure or good as she was, and if you do, that one will probably find your mere presence so objectable that the closest you'll get to sexing her is when she violates you with her high heels because you were ogling her boobs.
If you don't want to die alone, you should lower your standards and admit that, while heaven is something that those as wretched as us never see, there are worse things then Hell. Nothingness, for one.

I don't give relationship advice often, and I think the reason should be plain by now.

The proper revenge is to screw as many of her friends as possible.

Actually the best is to do one of her sisters that is cute. Two if you can manage!

I've always been very closed about it myself. Though lately I've been tempted...

this is morbidly amusing i must say. Dont listen to what any of these guys has said, it really dont make any sense.

ok here are the rules to it, simple and clear cut

1 dont say i love you unless you mean it, use "I care for you deeply" *smiles lovingly*
2 make sure you have things in common, take time apart if you met in RL, you could be simply attracted to her pheromones, ie puppy love. This goes for girls too, get to know your love first. My girl and i have been dating for 1 year and 6 months, she wanted to go out sooner but i said we needed to wait to find out. It was a very good idea.
3 if you really do care, let them know daily, always try to be there for each other and honestly once you do start going out, spend as much time together as possible. In three months if you still feel the same things are going very well.
4. Dont EVER plot revenge. Its pointless, petty and stupid. There will always be others and you have to think about what you really want after each of these little break ups, and besides either party may realise they screwed up and reconciliation is alot easier if you didnt skin their bunny and staple it to their front door
5 and the final thing. confidence. Never assume your not good enough for her, you may be very surprised. Women like confident men, and men like confident women its a sign of good mental health and togetherness in the most pragmatic way of saying it, and its just damn cute [to both sexes confidence is attractive]. No one is not good enough for someone else. If he or she is interested in you in the first place you were good enough for them, so act like it!

now the spending alot of time together seems like bad advice but remember you took it slow and were friends, so you dont need to be careful in that way, now you need to see if you will still care the same way later in life lol in case anyone wants to say its a bad idea.

As long as you live, you've got something to live for.
The void may look pretty on the outside, but, trust me, there is very little comfort found in it.
