Very true. Cat Tribe just tries to obliterate opponents with facts. Wether those facts are right or not is questionable. Of course I'm saying that with nothing but warm fuzzy feelings.

It is surprising how different people can look at a "fact" and come up with different ways of describing it.

If my logic is correct, the Cat-Tribe was decided as the most sensible poster by posters who are thus obviously deficient when it comes to being sensible, and thus we should place no weight on their mere opinions...

Well I agree honestly. Cat and I got in a discussion of Indian treaties once. He/She interpeted one way and I the other. Who was wrong? I doubt either one. Just the way we looked at it was different.

Unfortunately, being sensible restricts you from doing anything awesome with your prize, like kicking it into the river or using it as a bird bath.

Facts can be just as misleading as lies, maybe even moreso because people are not as prone to question them. After all, the most artistic lies are painted with true colors.

I had a vote at the end, and that is all that matters because the fact that I could pass muster enough to get past the nomination stage and win a vote invalidates the entire process to an extreme degree.
Of course, since my appearing as part of the set means that the process was fake, that means that my losing the process was also faked, and I could still be the most sensible in spite of not being sensible enough to be worthy of nomination.
But if I was the most sensible, then that actually makes the poll valid, since one can hardly hold the truth against someone, so that means that I still lost.
And since I lost, I wasn't sensible, and the poll is rendered invalid again . . .

Suffice it to say that I cannot accept your analogy. A fact is a truth and a lie is an untruth. I can understand fully that one would be hesitant to question a bonafide truth/fact.

But how do you know that it is a fact/truth without questioning it for proof?
Further, what if I use facts as white noise or a distraction? Or what if I speak the truth, but omit those parts of it that might incriminate me?
