I am glad to see Muslim brethren standing up and helping our Christian brothers and sisters. This is a very good sign.

I wonder whether this would make it into the news anywhere other than Al-Jazeera...

But good on them.

I doubt it and am suprised at it being on Aljazeera. They seem to fall into the trap as westren media does. Only focus on negatives.

Agreed (and agreed!), but it probably should do; in the current climate, news of a little cross-cultural helping and cross-religous brotherhood is pretty thin on the ground! More news to catalyse more help?

When I went to World Youth Day 2002 in Toronto, all the security guards were Muslim. They saw us praying the rosary and we compared beads (they use a string of beads when they pray to the 99 names of Allah). Ecumenism is cool.:)

Applause! Applause! Applause!

Always good to see Muslims doing what Muslims are *supposed* to do.

Yeah... it was kinda cool to see people of different faiths just get along and talking about their similiarities instead of differences...

This is very good news. It proves to me that whenever there are groups that wish to do harm in the name of intolerance, there will be an even larger group to stand up and say "no".

Unfortunately, these positive acts will be quickly and conveniently forgotten after the next Muslim terrorist attacks and we'll get the usual cries of "Islam is a violent religion", etc.

Still, it's nice to see things like this happening.

It got a mention in the Times this morning. Admittedly it was a brief mention near the back of the paper but at least it was mentioned.

This is wonderful. Christians and Muslims worship the same God so in theory they should get along. Sadly, they don't because of a bunch of misunderstandings by both parties. It's wonderful to see them getting along. What's also wonderful is that this is broadcast on Al-Jazeera. Al-Jazeera is a pan-Arab news station that has the ability to reach millions. This spreads a message of peace and love so often missed in today's society. It's a shame that the US newspapers have been slow to cover this story.

Excellent! That's the first article I have ever read on Al Jazeera with which I completely agree.

Now, how can we spread this movement to all religions everywhere? :)

Your cynicism is ... disturbing. :p

Aww... this just makes you feel hopeful about the future.

I'll try to dig up an article I read a while back about a hindhu man who goes about waking up muslims so they can eat before sunrise and fast during the day...
