Well, it's a brisk 21 degrees F in the EL, with a wind chill of 11 degrees.

And snow. Fucking damn snow. Up to 1 foot tonight. Blowing too.

It's too damn cold to even riot! I'm depressed.

Any of y'all snowed in now?

I heard an aircraft slid off a runway in Chicago... Nothing too serious, but indicative of how fast it's coming down.

Snow does suck. It's been pouring down here (central Illinois, at Uni.) since about midday. Wasn't fun to walk through without boots.

I hate it now because I drive. It ceased to give me satisfaction through fun a few years ago, and it only gives me more and more problems.

Just looking at the weather now, I am supposed to get 6-10 inches, and I am about 25 miles northwest of Boston. Our roads are shit right now, too. Snow day!?!

 what wrong with you people? If there is anything I miss more, it's snow. It only snows once evey 15 years down here... and it did last year! I mean, you can do something about the snow, like stay inside and wear some cozy socks. And school gets cancelled without anyone dieing in a natural disaster. Heck, no winter sports either! Let's go swimming!

Hey, if you really hate it that much, stuff as much as you can in an envelope and ship it on down.

There is no dangerous weather, there are only dangerous drivers.

But, snow is good. Because, if it doesn't snow, it's wet and chilling like in the autumn, or windy and chilling like if the place was the Siberia tundar.

I'm supposed to be getting snow overnight tonight. It'd started turning into a bit of a pain over the last few years, what with shoveling and driving and no time to play, but now I have a little girl who is just discovering the joys of snow, and she's made it fun again. It snowed the begining of the week a bit, and I made a snowman and a snow-snake with icicle fangs chasing it. I'm sure the neighbors love me.

It's snowing up in Columbus, OH where I am from. It's been in the 20s all week. It's hard to drive. My poor dog is a tiny little Yorkie who doesn't do too well with the snow, and she's not happy.

I, however, am comfy and warm in Fort Myers, FL this week on vacation. It's been in the 70s all week here. Now I understand why people come south during the winter. It's damn expensive, but it's nice. Too bad I have to back this weekend.

Most people from my area are from diffrent parts of the country. The people who are from places that don't snow have no idea how to drive in it. They compleatly panick and they make the roads really unsafe.

I know it's just the department itself. It just forced me to learn more streets in downtown grand rapids to get around the construction. Most of the pain though it wasn't a basic repair, they were fixing a bridge. So it took all summer long.

I wish we had snow! We never do seem to, even when the rest of England does! It's not fair.....I'm young enough to still be excited by snow!

Also if we had a heavy fall tonight and I had to stay at home in the morning, it would get me out of 2 difficult work situations that I have to face tomorrow...............:(

And yes they are things that I could sort out at home over the weekend, so I wouldn't just be delaying the inevitable! ;)

All this weather talk reminds me of a story from junior year...

My friend and I were out late Saturday night. It had just snowed, but the main roads were clear. We decided to have some fun in the middle school parking lot. We started doing donuts when BANG!

We hit one of those concrete islands, which happened to be hidden in the snow. We had to change a tire with no light, in the cold, with a bent axle. He had to do it all, because my arm was in a cast (football injury).

He really got chewed out!
