Today is December 7th, “a day that will live in infamy.” Thank you to all the Allied Veterans who served in WW II. Your sacrifices and the sacrifices of your families insured freedom for millions of people around the world. THANK YOU.

I'm ashamed to say I'd forgotten. Thanks to all the WWII vets who stopped the Nazis and the Japanese.

If you think the U.S. was not "involved" you never heard of "Lend Lease." Read some history my friend.

On second thought, you are spouting disrespect. I started this post to thank the Allied veterans of WW II not to bash the political policies of the US at the time. If you don't want to thank the vets who made it possible for you to have freedom of speech, that is your right, but don't hijack this thread. :(

Agreed. My grand father was a surgeon during the war, a retired as a doctor in Scarborough General Hospitol. My Opa was a para trooper for the Polish. Both my grand mothers served as nurses. I thank them, and every one else who fought for this very moment, right now, that I can say this.

i am not disrespecting the veterans rather the people in charge at the time
my freedom of speech was more jepordized(sp) by the allies than helped by it
