Especially the parts I read about Zen Buddhism (meditate on a koan until you reach the "answer" after years and years, and then everything is happier) made it seem like a path to driving yourself insane. This amused me because I am not liberal - at least, not in the sense the word is generally used on these forums - yet I nominated someone that could probably be described as such. That is precisely because I - and others - are, or at least can be, objective and can recognise commonsense and rational argument when it is provided.
