People who don't return borrowed items...

Whether it be from simple forgetfulness, to general apathy, to even malice, people who borrow stuff then when you ask for it back do not return or sometimes even refuse.

I'm only saying this because my brother's friend has borrowed a game of my for a rather long time and has failed to return it after numerous requests. I am giving him one more chance, then I go kung-fu.

Any problems similar to mine?

ut o. he probably lent it on to someone else and has had no luck getting it back

i just remind someone that i need my thing back and i get it back. sometimes it helps to drop by their house so they have no excuse of having forgotten to bring it.

I do that with library books. I forget to return them, but when I look and find they're due back the next day and I can't get to the library that day I just go to the website and renew them. I've had the same couple of books out for about two months now, after an initial 2 week loan...

For my 17th birthday, a friend gave me a novel. A while later, she asked if she could borrow it, so she could read it.

Five and a half years later...

...Smooth.

You should never loan books or movies except to someone living with you. Ever.

This is why I always try to get collateral. You want something of mine? Give somethig of yours. I have lost so many good movies lending them to people. people suck. Friends suck. It's a good thing I hate being lonely or I would never socialize.

I never loan anything (even money) unless I am sure that if I never see it again that life will go on uninterrupted. Now, my husband loaned my heating pad to his boss once, and it took 3 weeks to get it back:( I was upset about that (since I know he only used it for a few days)

Well, I borrow things from my bf and give them back very slowly. My reasoning is that we will eventually move in together and everything will sort itself out. We'll also have loads of 'doubles,' especially CD's and music DVD's.
