Lack of sleep...

Hey everyone, I'm new here... well... new for the second time. I used to visit this forum on a regular basis about two years ago (when people like Danya were around... anyone remember her?) and thought it was high time for me to make a return.

But anyway.

I started my Lifeguard shift today at 5am... the current time is now 2pm. I didn't actually go to sleep last night, so I have been awake now for approximately 30 hours I think. Naice.

What's the longest you've been awake for?

117 hours. Essays on Thursday night, party on Friday night, then a friend bet me I couldn't stay awake all weekend, school on the Monday, bed on Tuesday morning at about 3.

I've never been a night without sleep (although one time I only slept for an hour). My brother was awake for 42 hours continuously while working on the Trinity College May Ball (http://www.trinityball.co.uk/) in 2004.

Without sleep... um somewhere around 108-112 hours (at that point you really really don't care about anything other than sleep)... gee the army was fun

Yeah, I love it when those 72 hour OP's turn into 180 hour OP's. Especially when you only brought enough food and water for about 120 hours......

Pulled my share of 72-96 shifts, and a couple over the 100 mark, at that point I was a gibbering wreck, sleep deprivation sucks...

Yes long under-manned OPs watching nothing but the trees... the trees...

"... the trees man... they're moving!... they're coming to get us man!"

We would just watch OPFOR BMP's playing NASCAR in the Bravo Bowl in CMTC in Hohenfehls.

Probably about 3 days that I can remember - multiple night sleep overs are evil, evil delightful things lol.
