Okay, here's the Ultimate Adventurer's Vacation:
You show up at the vacation desk packed and ready to go. Then you are enveloped in knockout gas.
When you wake up, you are in a nice hotel room(paid up for two weeks in advance) with your luggage and $1000 in traveler's checks. Nothing else. You have no idea where you are or what day it is.
Two weeks later, your passport and return airline ticket are waiting for you at your hotel.
I call it: Magical Mystery Tourism. :D

sounds awesome to me :) (as long as the potential places i could go are from a fairly decent list... not including places like skegness or outer mongolia, or anywhere in the artic circle, for example)

WHat?!? Your hotel is paid for. Assuming you got sent somewhere nice, you'll probably be lounging by the pool/beach/lake. And if you end up in the mountains of Kathmandu or Greenland, you probably won't want to go out much anyway. :p

Kathmandu!!!
There's some GREAT hiking in that area. But I heard it's even better in Bhutan.
I plan to go in that area in a few years.
And Id love to go to greenland!

You should include complimentary tickets to whatever sight-seeing locations and activites are nearby.
You should also include Iceland in the list of potential places. Iceland rocks. (No pun intended.) At least for a week or two.

Kathmandu!!!
There's some GREAT hiking in that area. But I heard it's even better in Bhutan.
I plan to go in that area in a few years.
And Id love to go to greenland!
Colorado is closer and has hiking and skiing for those so inclined.
