He's giving a speech at the new Dell Computer plant here. I would have gone, but I had to keep the NS General posters in line. ;)

That would explain why their computers blow and why everytime my father calls tech support for computers "proudly made in the US" he gets a direct line to Bangalore.

Well too bad you didn't go ... you could have shook his hand and punched him in the back of the head for me.

Shame on you! Wanting to punch him in the back of the head...a good ol' kick to the groin would be MUCH better! :D

Maybe it's the "proudly made in America" thing, then: most of the IT manufacturers are having stuff assembled out east these days, aren't they?

keruvalia: or heckled him. I don't think he responds well to being heckled.

No, a punch to the head would probably knock him out cold. With that thick skull, though, it's hard to tell...

Not true. He's already passed on his genes. Destroying his ability to reproduce is no longer necessary. A swift punch to the head might, however, render him too braindamaged to continue running the country (into the ground)

How could he possibly be more braindamaged than he is now!?

Surely you'd need to kick him in the arse rather than punch him in the head to cause brain damage, though?

Meh that's getting to be the way for everybody.

At least Dell returned the support for corporations back to the US.

They aren't so bad.

One of my users called for support on his DSL and he had to explain what DSL was to the support person.

I see. Thanks.
I always assume most of the right leaning IT entrepreneurs are going to be libertarians for some reason: just look at Mitch Kapor and that twit who used to be in the Grateful Dead...

My condolences. It's probably just as well, though--I'd imagine traffic is a bitch when he's in town.

In order to be brain damaged, you have to have a brain.

Besides, I want him to continue in office. I do not want President Dick Cheney for even a day.

No doubt. When Poppy Bush came here, the bastard had 1/2 of the city tied up so he could drive to the airport. It took 3 hours to drive 20 minutes......

No, it's more like: "Let's see. Go listen to the shrub or get a hemorrhoidectomy without anesthesia?

Better get the scalpel, Doc!" :D

Actually I seem to recall that Dell did contribute funds to the Republicans. Not certain about this though and don't feel like looking it up. But I doubt that is the reason. Polititions often go to workplaces to campaign. I don't remember which, but Kerry or Bush went to campaign at my father's plant during the election. They do so to look like the are conecting with the workers and that they care about the workers.

Maybe it isn't a scalpel, it's that vicious, citizenry-dissecting tongue that so many of those f*cking neocons wield so often ...
and maybe Cheney's perma-half-sneer is from chewing-hemorrhoidectomies. Keeping a keen taste of prey.

Well, he can walk. And his mouth can make noises that, when individually isolated, appear to be words. Most of the time. But when you try to string them together...

I would have gone to see him. I put George Bush in that small elite group of people that, if I should ever see in public, I feel a moral obligation to scream obscenities at until I am restrained.

He joins the ranks of people like O.J. Simpson, Bill O'Reilly and Joan Rivers.

Which is why his handlers would make sure that you were nowhere near the place where he was giving his "speech."

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'd be fetted out early in the process. Though the chance of him coming to Santa Cruz is pretty slim, so...

So Bush is just a mechanical puppet controlled by Cheney's telepathic powers?
