I like both silk and cotton. The best piece I have though iss very fine cotton/silk mixture... it just feels beautiful, and it's always just warm/cool enough.

I like Cashmere Sweaters (they make winter time almost bearable)

but, I remember my very first 100% cotton shirt, it was heaven.:D

I think I am going to have to go with cotton, because up until that point I had only knew of 50/50 blends, and someone got me a 100% cotton T-shirt for Christmas, and after that, everything else just feels wrong. ;)

(kinda like my stupid husband taking me to the bed and breakfast and getting to sleep on 500 thred count sheets, when I came home to my 180's they felt like sandpaper. :( Guess who is getting 1500 thred count sheets for her birthday though:D )

For everyday use cotton, for "special" uses silk...only skin feels better on skin than silk :D

For heavy weather waxed cotton...breathes and water-proof

And yes, cashmere is fine for outer garment...shawls etc.

Hemp.

I'm serious. Hemp is a wonderful material for garments. Warm in winter, cool in summer. Strong, comfortable, easy to clean. I love hemp clothes.

Silk feels nice, but the way it's produced (boiling silkworms) is quite disturbing, so I'll choose cotton.

I rather like the way rubber looks on ladies, but I doubt I'd wear it myself...

Surely you should have been able to acquire a new one there! Cannabis plant products aren't exactly hard to come by in Amsterdam. :p

(I'm sorry. Someone had to say it)

"What's you favourite material for clothes?"

For myself, canvas or poplin.

For women, silk or satin! Nothing, nothing feels better than a woman's body covered in satin! Mmmmmmmm! :D

Heh, yeah, I suppose that's understandable. Sucks to lose nice clothes.

Because I can't afford vicuna, cashmere is my favorite all-around.

I dont own anything made out of synthetic fibers.

Cotton makes the best dress shirts, ( i couldnt live without oxford cotton)
wool suits (cashmere makes nice sportcoats)

I like the variety in wool more than in cotton, so I chose wool.
