A new study has shown that binge drinking in middle age is one of the leading causes of dementia!

They also added, commonly known as "The New Strategy For Victory In Iraq"

:D

(Thank you Saturday Night Live!)

Reality doesn't have to be funny..

Although I'm sure in text it didn't come across as funny and true as it did on SNL.

To make that funny would require quite a bit of backstory, I think.

Like, maybe the blind guy has a visit from his gun-loving brother, and his nephew who has a new supersoaker. And the gun-loving brother just bought a new assault-rifle (semi-auto, for this story), and the little kid shoots the blind guy with the supersoaker, and the blind guy laughingly vows revenge, and the brother/nephew go to bed for the night, and the blind-guy gets into their stuff to find the supersoaker (which he's never held before, so he figures they might be metal), but he gets the assault rifle instead, and then a burglar is sneaking in the window, but the blind guy thinks its the nephew sneaking out for tomfoolery, so....

Anyway, the police report would be funny. The actual situation would, of course, be tragic.

You just made me lose 3 IQ points and 15 seconds of my life! I'm going to come and visit you, and I'm bringing my "supersoaker" ;)

Hey, Robin Hood: Men in Tights showed how a blind man with a sword can be hilarious.

Yes, but comedy does.
That's sort of the whole point.

Yikes! By putting "supersoaker" in quotes, you could be implying "assault rifle" or, you could be implying your, uh...self. Either way, I am muy scared.

Trust me, there is nothing super about Nightmare's "soaker."

Comedy should be funny, and if I remember correctly, SNL is supposed to be a comedy show. But, alas, it stopped being funny sometime in the early 1990s. It almost recovered during the Will Ferrell days ("more cowbell!") but now it's as boring as a typical day at Air America...except it has a lot more people tuned in.

I honestly feel Walken contributed as much to that sketch as Ferrell...

A couple of the new guys are developing well, aren't they? The goofy looking one, and the little guy, well, I mean the other little guy, the new one...

Sigh. I wish Nicole Sullivan was back on Mad TV....

Walken made the sketch flow. Will Ferrell was just the comic relief.

Don't worry...paying a hooker to tell the truth is like hiring an expert witness in court...paying them shouldn't reduce their credibility.

I'm sure your soaker can shoot down small aircraft.
