If you apologised to someone for something, and they said "Don't worry about it at all. Doesn't bother me!", would you believe them? It was a guy not a gal btw, if that helps.

I'd believe they were _trying_ to make the interaction got more smoothly... or make me shut up and go away!
No, default position is (unless there's some more info relevant to the situation that you didn't pick up on) that they're accepting that you're sorry, and want to move on :)

thats a way of giving forgivness. like if i messed up with a girl and apologized, then she says, dont worry about it. and then everything is cool...

This depends on the situation. We need more information about the alleged slight.
Of course, if it had been a woman, you might have seen your life flash before your eyes, because those words imply that she will kill you most horribly very soon.
yup I agree with ACNT... we need more info...

It completely depends on the situation (context) and the tone they said it in.
and as we don't know that... guess we can't give an answer...

I hold a grudge.

lmao. The best thing to do in such a situation is pretend they actually meant it and watch them get extremely frustrated.

I hear every day from one person : "sorry...excuse me...it wont happen again..."
I do not believe it anymore :(
