Wish me luck!

This is it! At 8:30am tomorrow morning, I'll be writing the LSAT, which is the final step in my law school application. Three weeks later, I'll have the results, and shortly after that, an answer. I'm in, or I'm not. I'll be one of the 175 out of 1200 applicants that actually make it...or I'll be the broken-down bitch whining and moaning on the sidewalk outside the Faculty.

I have to get up at 6am to drive into the city...I'll gulp down a breakfast of yoghurt and boiled eggs to keep me going, and hopefully wake up on the way in. I'm sick as all hell, and have been getting worse each day this week...I should full-out hacking and snorting and weeping the entire time, not to mention the total lack of brain function...this cold/flu is killing me! But this is my one and only shot...there isn't another test before the deadline, so here I go! Wish me luck!!! And if you can't do that, at least cop a feel before you leave.

Hey Sin, all the best! I know you can do it, no doubts at all there. I wouldn't even be surprised if you were the best in this exam, either. :D

So, keep that chin up and show them, girl.

If there was no analytical reasoning section, I might be inclined to agree. But on the six practice tests I've done, I've never been able to get more than half way through that section within the 35 minutes allowed. Not once. That section alone promises to drag me down to mediocrity.

Leave it till last, then. That way, you won't loose time on any of the other sections. And don't worry, you'll do grand. My tarot cards tell me so ;)

I will believe your tarot cards then:) The shittiest thing about the test is that you have to do the sections in sequence, and you can't make up time by doing one section quickly and then going back to the tough section. Otherwise, I'd have little problem...but that's the point I guess.

That doesn't seem fair to me... I suggest the first thing you do once you got through is start a law suit to change regulations :D

The University of Alberta. I don't feel like relocating too much...as it is I'll have to move to the city for a couple of years, or drive in every day. And I've learned not to buy into that 'this school is better' bullshit. Either they have a decent program or not, but the whole idea of school prestige helping you along in life is a load of bull. It's who you know, not where you studied. Then again, if you met those people at the school...okay, I can see that. But I've already got the contacts, so no cross-country moves to go to an 'older, more prestigous law school' for me. Fugedaboudit!

Thesedays you can get a find education in just about any University without having to go to the old money ones.

Good luck Sin! I knew there was a reason for me to pick back up on my generaliting :D.... I woulda missed this! Unacceptable, clearly.

And remember the obvious, but so often forgotten.... if you're not doing so well on one part of the test, chances are lots of other people are finding it just as hard.

*gets the pom-poms and cheers for sin!*

OMG Sinner I'm so nervous for you! If you weren't sick I'd sleep well, expecting a grand performance without a doubt, but I know what a brain drain being sick is... I just had a deadly flu earlier this week. I'll send some healing vibrations and a time hole you can use when things look hairy.

Good luck with bear hugs, questionably legal gropes and then I flash you my genitals to show you that things could be worse.

I will send out a special prayer for you.

Dear God,

Please give Sinuhue a clear head, a stable writing hand, and if she doesn't know the answers just pop them right into her head for her.

Amen.

oh yeah, and no heartburn from breakfast grabbed quickly

Amen again.

Good Luck.

Yours is one of the few names here that stands out in my head in a positive fashion. If anyone is going to beat 175 out of 2000 odds I'm sure it's you.

Lycka till!

Ugh, I did the Swedish equivalent called "Högskoleprovet" and I was doing very well on the vocabulary, Swedish reading comprehension, English reading comprehension and maths/logic/analysis parts, but then came the diagrams/tables/charts part and I fell apart. Imagine going completely and utterly stupid for half an hour - so stupid you could not read a fucking chart! A chart! *sigh*

Damned lucky I had a 100% GPA is all I'll say... but you'll do better. :)

Fortunately Britain does not have a national exam for entry into Law schools. Not yet, anyway. You just need extremely high grades. Well I easily got into Law with French, now the problem is I want to get out :p I will probably switch to French. Its a great subject, and I am good at it, yet hardly what I want to do with my life. Good luck in any case :)

Charts are simply evil :p Economics has its fair share of them.

The very best of luck Sin. Fear is the mind killer, don't let it get to you.

Just go out there and do your absolute best, even under the circumstances. Needless to say that even if you don't go so well, it's the effort that counts all in all, because chances are abundant in this life...
