NEW YORK (WCBS-TV) WCBS-TV is reporting that accused cop killer Allan Cameron was injured and had to be taken to Bellevue Hospital after he initiated a fight with a corrections officer.

After a court hearing Thursday, Cameron got into a scuffle with the corrections officer while being transported back to Rikers Island.

Cameron had to be uncuffed to walk back to a certain area and that is when the Department of Corrections says he initiated the fight with a Corrections Captain.

The Captain used minimum force and resecured Cameron's handcuffs.

Since the scuffle, Cameron had been complaining of neck and back pain. Standard Corrections Department procedure requires that prisoners be taken to the hospital when they complain of pain.

The Captain was not injured and the incident is under review. The scuffle could lead to additional charges for the man accused of killing police officer Dillon Stewart and attempting to kill another police officer.

Well, unless there's overwelming evidence that the corrections officer started the fight, I think it's fair to believe the word of a corrections officer over a convicted murder.

However, If the corrections officer simply beat the inmate, he should face assault charges.

I'm surprised the guy can walk.. A guy I go to school with got a life sentence for 3 counts of attempted murder of LAPD officers (firing a weapon at police while being chased on foot).. they beat him unconscious on a regular basis, a couple times a week or so.. this guy in New York got off easy.

Regardless of the crime he is accused of, it sounds like he was subdued with a minimum of fuss. He wasnt beaten.
Reading the article, we have a guy using his 6'7" height to state "Do I look like I need a gun?" as if that could help prove innocence in shooting two policemen, killing one and wounding another. (frankly,I cant believe he hit one target, let alone two).
But if he starts trouble with a guard or corrections officer, he might need a tap on the head.

This guy's lucky he survived the arrest.

He allegedly has assaulted police before in Philly so it's either a national FOP conspiracy or one guy w/ a penchant for criminal behavior.

He is clearly a piece of shit.
He needs to get a speedy trial and get strapped right into sparky after being found guilty.
No more publicity and attention for band-aid scrapes for this douche. It looks like someone is trying hard to make an issue out of it.

I'm sure it will be a "racial" thing before to long.

I guess it will have to. Thats the only way to draw the attention from the facts.

We already have a reporter calling a band aid a "bandage". Before I saw his picture and read those words, I subconsciously pictured a much larger thing covering an injured eye.

Its nice he admits to being a hard partier.

If I knew all the facts I might be able to make a decision as to whether or not the action of the police were justified or not. Until then, what do you want me to say, "Poor baby" to the prisoner? OK. Poor baby prisoner. I'm glad the Capt. was not injured.

"We haven't quite decided yet whether he committed suicide or died trying to escape."

This is one of those ancedotal things that as a result doesn't mean anything, but I've seen a man get his arm broken for falling asleep. I would put a wailing past a guard.
