Which finger do I put my ring on?

My left ring finger or right ring finger? It's just a lousy class ring, but I don't know the answer! Who sets these standards? Do you follow them? Do you break them? Not wear rings?

I had one of those class rings and I wore it on my right (I'm right handed if that means anything). Of course, I bought it primarily so I could say "Kiss my ring, bitch!"...

Traditionally, the left ring finger is reserved for promise, engagement, and wedding rings, or any other significant relationship ring. Therefore other rings are traditionally worn on the right hand. I don't know the origin of the custom, but that's what it is. Personally, I wear a claddagh, which has a whole other set of rules as to how you wear. That's my only ring. Hope this helps!

I don't think anybody would notice or care, really, us being this side of the 19th century.

a claddagh, which has a whole other set of rules as to how you wear.
1--On the right hand, crown in heart out, the wearer is free as the birds in the sky. If you want her, go a courtin'.
2--On the right hand, crown out heart in, the lass is spoken for, so lay off.
3--On the left hand, place of choice, heart in crown out, she is happily married for evermore.

Well, it use to be that you saved the left ring finger for your eventual wedding ring, but all that has kinda gone by the board in most places. I suggest you wear it where you feel comfortable wearing it. :)

If you're feeling anything like me right now, the middle finger. That way you can flip everyone off when you go to show them your ring.

That depends on your tradition (and this is an international forum, after all :)). In Spain, wedding rings are worn on the right hand.
