Who on this forum would you you trust to care for your children for a week?

Um, nope. I'll warp her myself, thank you.

I might leave her with her grandmother (husbands mom, not mine) for a week, but only if her aunts didn't have access to her most of that time. And that's because she is very respectful of the way I want to warp her and doesn't impose her own warping very much. She's going to get warped one way or another. I'd rather keep the warping for myself. ;)

It really wouldn't matter with my kids if someone did, because they have been taught to think for themselves.

I picked Sinuhue because I think
a it would be good for them to hear from the "other side" for a week
and
b I know that I could trust her to be viligent with their special diet.

although if they were a little older I might let them go over and see UpwardThrust for a week, but I think at the age they are now, they could annoy him a little too much.;)

in reality he's 19 so yeah i think he'd have a great time spending a week in goofball land.

For example, I know his stance on global warming, as he's posted that several times. (In short form, it's to the effect that he's sceptical of the data.)

I'd agree with Ashmoria that I don't really know anybody here.

But, LG, Eutrusca, Sinuhue, and Stephistan if I knew them in person to be as they are online, and maybe Zooke, Smunkeeville, and Ashmoria, as I'm not as familiar with them. probably a couple of others I am forgeting, and a few who've passed into the great internet beyond NS.

But, this is the Internet. It does no one justice. Eutrusca and I have spoken through Skype and that is a lot more revealing about true character and personality than this written, adversarial forum.

For your sake then, I will quote. I have been asked before by moderators not to quote when a reply immediately follows a post so as to avoid flooding.

True, but that can only be said once you are financially self-sufficient and independent. If you are not, well that is a situation I am fortunate enough not to have encountered and happy to have avoided.

I have two concerns about leaving the theoratical kids with Lunatic Goofballs-

1. Worried that I would be pelted with "When we going back to Uncle Goofballs, Dad? When we going back to Uncle Goofballs, Dad? When we going back to Uncle Goofballs, Dad?"

2. Being pelted in general with mudballs that Lunatic Goofballs taught them how to make more stingy.

I am indeed, it is rather obvious I think from what I have just said. :) I am in no mood for drama on their part at this point in my life. I am still undecided as to what direction I am heading in in my life (I am still 19), and even if they do live thousands of miles away, I am in no mood to come out at this point.

I moved out when I was 16 and became financially self-supportive around your age, and also came out at about the same time as that. Those are indeed irritating. Even when I was young I was fiercely private, and now still, I leave it for them to guess. I either give vague answers, or tell them that my personal life is not of their concern. The words that parents hate hearing the most :p Why on earth would I want to marry some girl and go have children with her? The latter part of the proposition is nearly as disturbing as the former.

Indeed, and it seems you thought it out well. My mother would likely be tolerant of it, yet my father would not be amused. His problem as far as I am concerned. I could debate it through with him, as I am good at this, but as I said, I am in no mood for drama right now.
