I'm gonna be French!

After being mistaken for French in the forums I had a fleeting moment of inspiration. I should be French. I'm already insanely liberal and prentious. I makes perfect sense. I've started the ball rolling by ordering a Visa Application from the French Mission to Australia. The second step is learning French, until then, I plan to just mumble english with a bad French accent and hope for the best!

Wish me luck!

You'll need to learn to look down your nose at Anglophones.

Good luck on that.

Then I got it bred out of me.

Of course this is just in the view that we are genetically our ancestors and thus the successive change in our family line of DNA down up to us in the present.

Upper Middle-Class Cape Coloureds. I have no idea why she is so multi-lingual. But she lectured at Kapse Technikon University and for some reason decided I only needed to learn English.

"J'ne" is a perfectly legitimate shortening of "Je ne", and why should I bother with my French grammar when I am claiming not to know French at all?
But I suppose it works best if you can say it perfectly, so, yeah . . .

It's not legitimate when written, but French people shorten it to that all the time when speaking...

But really Rotovia- French?!
Europa Maxima

Correct, the written form in french is usually francais courant, or perhaps even soutenu. In spoken form, its fine though to shorten it for pronounciation purposes.

True. I was still pretty traumatized by the fact my mum hired a wetnurse! The nanny, the cooks, the maids, the driver were all cool. But a wetnurse? WTF?!
