I don't think (assuming all you said is true and the whole truth) that you are in any legal trouble, but really asking her for something like that when a. she was alone and b. she was in need of help was pretty off. I lived in a town where sometimes the only way to get down from the mountain into the "real world" was by hitching and even though I hated doing it there were no other options. I always went with a friend, never alone. I feel for that girl, who albeit was foolish for hitch hiking alone, probably didn't see any other options. Even if it was just something stupid that popped out of your mouth without thinking, you deserve a sharp smack in the face at the very least. I'm suprised she didn't jump out of the moving vehicle to get away from you.

What buggers me is.. why are you afraid to be nailed by her in the first place? i assume you two were the only ppl inside your (moving) car so there are no witnesses at all. even if she would go to the police and tell them about your "deal" she has noone to cover her. well, i know that there are differences between countries on that matter, but i assumed he (the author of the thread, not the boyfriend) is older than 18. and in this case (at least in most "civilized" countries) 17 is considered underage and sexual harrasment is treated way more strict. that has nothing to do with the girl having a boyfriend (of the same age or not).

Absolutely, don't get me wrong. I just find the idea of being underage at 17 rather ...odd. With the exception of those who decide that they aren't ready, or those with a religious or moral conviction that sex is wrong before marriage, I suspect that many people have some sort of sexual experience before they are 18.

It can also just be inaccurate. The age of consent for the Netherlands is stated as 12/16 for instance (which is right: 12 between 2 minors[1], 16 for minor+adult); but in the explanatory text they claim it is 12 for all - including adult+minor.
