I'm going to assume that most people have either read Jennifer Government or know the basis premise of the book since there is a summary link from the NS page. If not, check out the link from your NS nation page and get the brief of it.

Most people know what XBox is and that XBox 360 is the newest one.

Now, this link is from CBC and I find it highly amusing that the writer of this article has read the book and can draw parallels between the two products.

yeah those were exactly my thoughts when I saw a thread about the 360 selling out so fast and the next shipment not being ready. I thought it was pretty obvious that microsoft under supplied for that reason.

To tell you the truth, I don't think 99.9% of the people here have ever read, or are even familiar with, Jennifer Government.

We come here for the free porno. *

Of which, there is none.

Ummm... I thought that the price for the core console was $299.99 US, and the premium console $399.99 US. Where'd the author get those $399.99 core, $499.99 premium?

It hurts the pocket book more in Canadian dollars, doesn't it?

Especially since the memory stick for it is going or $49.99 and the wireless is about $99.99 at EB Games. Plus, I think the remote is another tidy sum and so is a second controller.

It wasn't one of the best ones...

Though it did make a good point about over privitization... and allowing the corperations to be free of the numerous regulations imposed on them.

What I found most funny is that people are already reporting crashes and serious technical issues with the 360...and they're SURPRISED. Dudes, it's MICROSOFT. What the hell did they expect?!

That has nothing to do with it at all, but thanks for assuming.

If you've read anything about Max, he's far from being a lefty, and has much, much more in common with libertarians. He sounds like a decent fellow with an interesting perspective on things.
Unfortuantely, his book was a whore-out for the motion-picture industry, and the characters were cardboard cutouts. It read like a bad action flick.
If you liked the book, glad you enjoyed it. I just don't think it's destined to be a cult classic (although it wants to be so bad!).
