Does anyone remember the days before the unification with Jolt? The old forums? I fondly remember the older forums. I miss them. They were easier to careen through, and easier to post. But, thanks to the overwhelming population growth over the last 3 years, the old forums had to go. Is there anyone here larger than 5 billion that (that's my estimate; I don't know how big I was when the forums were united) recalls the past?

No, I don't remember the exact date. Those old fourms were terrible. Constantly double and triple posting. But there were some good memories back there. I wish there was a link so we could go through and look at them all.

I remember. Although...I keep forgetting to maintain accounts, and find that creating a new account is just as easy as reactivating an old one...so I have no idea what my population ought to be.

i never use these forums. in fact, I never used the old forums, either. Besides a few RP's, I never touched them. In my (almost) 3 years of existence, I've only made 150 posts....:)

Too many people were joining, and Mr. Barry didn't have the time nor the funds to keep up a free, small tme forum.

Which is why I don't mind Jolt...one bit.

they've both got their ups and downs. I really liked the navigation of the old ones, but the Jolt forums are streamlined, and fast.

Reading this thread has reminded me how little the gameplay/features of the game have changed since I started playing. Oh well, you get what you pay for. Besides, I don't think that many people go to this site strictly for the game... I love lurking in the forums :)

Easier to post on the old forums? I think I think your memory is playing tricks on you.

I remember them, they were a pain. Whenever I tried to post I'd get a "Cannot Not Find Server" page.....annoyed me very much. I've been here for awhile (umm a little over 2 years), and I still have below 140 posts.

I was on here with another nation. Half the time you wouldn't be able to get on, then when you could double posting was a major problem.

Yes. I had to deal with them for months and they sucked ass. I was here before they even had mods. Pray to me.

I'm over 5 bil. and I remember the good ol' days.

As said earlier, both Jolt and the Old forums have had their good and bad times.

I remember the old forums...every other click generated a "Page cannot be displayed" error. I am glad to be on good old reliable Jolt. I know that Max's servers did the job when they were created, but the takeoff of the game was a factor in needing to switch.
