Let me tell you why I am angry -- I haven't gotten my 360 yet and I refuse to buy one from eBay for $200 more.

Anyway, if you're angry, tell us why.

I'm angry because the Dow didn't hit 11,000 last week. I didn't want to wait until next week for the milestone to fall.

I'm angry because honors chem is so f*ckin' hard. And it's not that I'm not trying, or that I'm dumb.

Oops. Clicked the wrong button. No, I'm not angry. From time to time, I may feel irked, annoyed, or frustrated, but that's about it. On those rare occasions that I do find myself angry, that's the time to do some soul-searching because I shouldn't allow anything to dominate my thoughts in such a negative way.

I take it next semester and I've heard some stories about it.

I've found out that in my honors classes, if I'm having a lot of trouble, so is half of the class.

I used to be angry, now I'm just dissillusioned and placid.

I'm mildly angry because the holiday season got off to a merry romp on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving with a handful of tramplings and fistfights as people went apeshit over low priced merchandice for sale...with limited availability.

Gives me warm fuzzies for the holidays. :mad:

I am sooooooooo angry at Walmart. First of all, let me say, I very seldom go into Wallyworld, not due to a social protest, but because I detest crowds and the quality of their offerings are below low. I received an email and a snail mail ad offering an HP laptop for less than $400 until 11 AM onFriday. I hate shopping and have my Christmas presents purchased weeks before the Christmas season starts, so I was totally ignorant of the the Black Friday chaos. As my husband had to be to work before 7 and since his truck was totaled back in June and he would need my car, I ran up to Walmart to pickup the laptop for him to use in his work a little before 5. MY GOD!!! I have never seen such a disgraceful display in my life. They literally had all of our local policemen at Walmart, rather than protecting our community, to prevent hysterical people from killing each other to save a few bucks. I didn't try to get one of the computers, but decided to pick up a couple of grocery items we needed before I left. I had to endrue verbal abuse and threat of physical harm to collect a couple cans of tuna because the tuna was situated near one of the barriers (guarded by police) holding eager shoppers back. Then, as I was heading to checkout with my toothpaste, tuna, and potatoes, the "sale" started, the barriers were dropped, and I was hit and knocked down by a cart weilding maniac. They didn't slow down much less check to see if I could get my sorry old ass up off the floor. I have and will continue to sport for a few days a bruise the size of a melon on my hip and upper leg. Granted, the people who participate in this display of greed and hysteria are beyond the pale when it comes to stupid and ignorant. But, Walmart (and I understand other retailers) take advantage of this low behavior and put customers at risk so they can boost their sales and their bottom line. They were obviously aware that this behavior was to be expected as they had so many armed police (not rent-a-cops, but city police) throughout the store and in the parking lot to prevent me from being mugged and my tuna stolen. I am aware that many people boycott Walmart due to their employee benefit programs, but I am also aware that high school & college kids and retired persons don't usually recieve benefit packages no matter where they work...shoot, most businesses (other than fast food work a week and quit restaurants) won't even consider hiring them (gotta love the little old Wallyworld greeters:fluffle: ). In my opinion that protest is in total ignorance of corporate hiring tactics. But, the total disregard for customer safety in order to increase revenues is not acceptable under any circumstances.

I urge all of you, send a customer feedback email to Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Sears, etc. Any company that advertises low prices to get customers in then don't have the product to meet the customer demand must be emailed, protested, and boycotted. Don't let them exploit you and put your well-veing at risk any more to increase their profits. Either get them to change their marketing strategy or bankrupt them!!

I only have one person on ignore because I see no reason to try to deal with senseless personal attacks and character assasisnation based on ignorance of the character of the person they are trying to annilihate . (not to name names, but his initials are "Sdaeriji". <Sdaeriji if you want to straighten this out and get back to sometimes agreeing somestimes disagreeing, but always respecting each other and being civil, I suggest you TG me. Otherwise I have to figure you're the most irrational person I have met on NS, attacked my character in total ignorance of who I am and what I am about, and I will continue to ignore everything you post, even if you post something that might be to my enlightenment and you will miss the opportunity of knowing someone who really does give a shit about other people and doesn't play games. Your call.>)

If the mods have a problem with this post then I have to ask where they were or what they were thinking when Sdaeriji went off on me. I have always respected him and though we have differing views, I have never gotten into an argument with him. Another poster started a thread asking for input from others and I gave him the best shot I could. I honestly don't think Sdaeriji understood what I was trying to relate and made assumptions based on this misunderstanding. I decided not to argue it out in the thread as it was a MAJOR hijack, and it's hard to discuss and come to an understanding when you have an audience. I am really hoping that Sdaeriji will TG me and we can thrash this out to the satisfaction and understanding of both of us. If the mods have a problem with that......:upyours:

I've 'known' Sdaeriji for ages on these forums, and he's always been great... I assume there was an particular incident that led to this..?

usually my husband has to hear this, but since he is sick tonight and there is this thred about anger..............I decided to let it all out here.

People are stupid, they are petty and they cause problems for no other reason but to cause problems.

If that didn't make any sense here is a little of the back story.

My daughter is in AWANA at my church, I volunteer as the 3 year old secretary.
I volunteer for 3 reasons
1. My friend runs the AWANA club and asked me for help (I am super organized and she is almost always super frazzled)


2. My daughter is on a strict diet, so I like to be near by in case they need to ask a question about snacks/dinner.


3. One of the kids in the 4 year old club (which is in the same hall) has a severe anxiety disorder and I am one of the only people who a. understands what to do if she has a panic attack and b. can calm her down (because I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder myself, and have talked to the kid about it, so we have a bond)

When you get to AWANAs you have to check in, we have to know if you
-are on time
- have paid your dues
- brought your book
- are wearing your uniform
- have your Bible
- attended church this week
ect.

all of these things have to be answered when they come in, so that by the time they are done we can have any patches that they earn put on thier vests.

here is the problem, crazy choir lady (I'll call her PoodleHead) rescheduled choir this year to start at 5 on Sunday nights, and AWANAs at 6. To help the kids get from one to the other, they just keep them in the same little hall, and have the parents drop them for choir and then pick them up after AWANAs. (which sounds fine right?)

except PoodleHead, doesn't want us checking in the Cubbies (that's the 3&4 year old awanas) on thier way to choir, because "It makes them late"

What she wants us to do is, make the parents come back at 6 and check them in, which won't work because they are halfway across the church and to get from class to service in the 10 min allowed is hard enough without coming to the children's building in between.

So, as a compromise we started closing the table after 5, we put up a sign that says

"Take your child directly to choir, and then you come back and check them in"

now PoodleHead is mad

a. because the sign "makes her look like the bad guy"
b. because the parents don't read the sign
c. because we are blocking the hallway so that people stop to look at the table.

I told her tonight

"nobody is the bad guy, we are trying to compromise, we need the kids checked in, you need them on time, that is what we are trying to do"

It's not my fault if parents don't read the Hot pink sign :rolleyes:

Then she leaves (to go back to teach choir) and the lady who I got stuck with (the 4 year old secretary) starts whining about how "Poodle head is sooo mean to you, and you are so nice to her and it isn't fair, and did you hear....."

I don't know what she said after that, because I quit listening.

I can't stand people who don't try to compromise, who don't even try to see past thier own needs/wants.

and I really can't stand someone who gossips.

I really feel bad for not liking these people. I told the preacher a few weeks back "I am tired of the drama, you tell me what to do and I will do that, I will show up on time, with a smile, and do whatever they say to do, however they say to do it, but if this backbiting and whining about every little thing doesn't stop, I am going to really lose it soon and nobody is going to like what I have to say, I guarantee you!!!!!!!!"

I'm angry because I'm surrounded by males. There's my boyfriend obviously, my roomate, my son (whom I love dearly and try not to fault for being male), my dog, 1 cat and a hamster. All male! The other cat is female, but she's always whoring about town and never here. I'm tired of testosterone. I need balance. I need a girly girl who will come into my house spray her stank perfume around, paint her nails and clog my bathroom with hairspray! I'm not very feminine myself, but a little co-estrogen in this place would be really nice. I feel so outnumbered!
