Where is everyone here from?

It can be broken down in terms of...

Where you are originally from and (also stating) your current country of residence/citizenship. Or just plain...where you are at the moment, if it is in fact your birth place and you claim that nationality.

I was going to, since that seems to be the popular way to do things. But then that would have been too many options, though I might have gone with continents or something....but still wouldn't have been as specific.

As for Ifreann's suggestion.

I guess I could have, but...I wanted to see people's responses.

Anyway, the whole point of my topic is, I have been kind of lurking for a while now and have been impressed with the variety of opinions presented which for some reason brought about my curiousity for people's backgrounds. :)

I personally am Sudanese, but currently reside in the U.S., MN.

For example; In Argentina (or, actually, anywhere I've been abroad) I was Irish. On the Shankill Road I'm British.

Born in Hamburg, Germany to German parents.

Lived in Germany until I was 16, then moved to Australia with my parents.

I hold a "Permanent Residency" Visum, I've been here for about four years - but I still consider myself German and that won't change.

It's where I grew up, it's the culture, the people around me and all the rest of it.

I agree, it is strange to call an American a USian. However, many loco liberals on this site will not agree with us.

*catches jar, realises it's Marmite and not Vegemite, and immediately breaks out in a sweat at the close call*

Thanks for the thought, but I'd rather never eat Vegemite ever again (or maybe slit my wrists) than have to eat Marmite.
