Being a big fan of Madonna since her album Music I was still disapointed by American Life as being too political.
Confessions on a Dance Floor has proven to be a great album that is pure dance music. Hung Up I kept on REPEAT for over a solid day before checking out the rest of the CD.
My favorite song so far is Hour High, I can dance to it for hours. Madonna has called this album a "retrospective" on her entire music carrer in the media but if something this fresh is just a "retrospective" then I can't wait for her next Album because I think this isn't even the middle of Madonna's carrer.
All in all I give 5 out of 5 Stars!:)

How long do you expect her to live? I mean she is 47 years old! The fact she hasn't OD/been assassinated yet is quite amassing.

Why do people worry more about the person behind the music than the music itself?
Why not for just a few minutes deflate your ego's and just LISTEN to the music and THEN judge it on if it is good music to you or not.

Well, it's all contingent on actually being able to endure Madonna, isn't it? I just wish she'd fuck off, personally.

Being a big fan of Madonna...
...makes you the wrong person to objectively review this album.
6/10 for me. It's not that I don't think the songs are catchy, and it's not that I don't think they're good to dance to...it's just that I understand how much work Madonna really didn't put into this album. I know she wrote none of the electronic beats. I don't know whether or not she actually wrote the mediocre lyrics (which aren't important in dance beats anyway), but it's not like it's exactly knock me out of my seat singing. In fact, her voice has been so oversynthed in this CD that it's really hard to even judge the quality of the vocals...
By the way, anyone who thinks this CD is better than mediocre needs to pick up a real electronica CD (any) and give it a listen so you know what this CD needs to be compared to...

Not being a big fan of Madonna since her album Music I was still disapointed by American Life as being too political.
Confessions on a Dance Floor has proven to be a crap album that is pure Satanaic rehashing of old crap music(uses the term loosely).
Hung Up I didnt even bother to listen to it let alone put on REPEAT for over a solid day before checking out the rest of the CD heck i didnt even listen to it.
My least favorite song so far is Hour High, I wont dance to it for hours in fact i only Robot,Chicken or Ho down for dancing styles none of wich should be defiled by Madonna. Madonna has called this album a "retrospective" on her entire music carrer in the media but this is an over simplification of something she has admitted this repetitive drivvile is just a "rectum spliting time waster".
But if this is the truth then I can't wait to kill myself before the next Album because I think this unfortunatly isn't even the middle of Madonna's carrer or so i fear.
All in all I give 0 out of 5 Cushion Tacks!:)

She sucked 23 yrs ago and she sux now. The only reason she got attn 20 yrs ago was SEXand SCANDAL. Yup they used it as tool to market her. That's the only reason she stayed on top was SEX. Like in the early 90's when she was all "open" about her SEX life. She's a media whore who uses sex to cover up her lack of talent. Now she's 47 and learning what it's like to be dried up old whore who no one wants and no one takes seriously.
That new song... whatever it's called... is just a cheap rip off of Abba .. without the funny white suits or Bjorn... which is what made Abba good anyway ...

...you make it sound like a bad thing. Welcome to the anything industry. Even Clinton was at his highest approval ratings while on trial.
