I just got my flu shot yesterday. Who has gotten one or is going to get one. Who thinks it's a conspiracy.
I also got flu symptoms from it for the first time. Anyone ever get that reaction and if so tell me it goes away after a day. :(

You should find a trial lawyer and sue. This is what they live for. In most of us, though, the symptoms aren't serious and subside in a day or two.

I got mine about 6 weeks ago and never had any problems.

I got paid $350 to do a vaccine trial in my area. They gave us a slightly stronger form of the flu, then if we did show symptoms they would not only pay us extra, but also dictate our treatment options. I think I may have cheated, because the day afterwards I woke up and took some medicine to clear my sinuses (which have been congested for some time now anyway), and that may have contributed to me not getting any symptoms yet.....

Or maybe my immune system is slowly but surely improving, but even I don't have that much blissful optimism.

I'm a great believer in letting the body deal with things like this on its own. I have a shockingly powerful immune system, and I don't fancy diluting it with things like this unless 100% necessary.

You can buy it if you're not in the 'at risk' groups of the population, but don't. People who are classed as 'at risk' are because they're immuno-compromised, or they work in areas where they are more likely to come into contact with the 'flu virus. Vaccine stocks are rationed because there are barely enough to cover the at risk groups, so if people buy it because they've been scaremongered into doing so by the (FUCKING) media, that means there's less for those groups. So don't buy it, people!

My kids get them (high risk) and my hubby should be he doesn't.

I get sick one way or the other, so I figure my dose should go to someone that it might help more. ;)

Heck no, don't you know about the conspiracy?

I have family in the "high-risk" category, so I get one every year. The worst things I ever seem to get from them are a sore shoulder and a headache from standing in the line.

I got a reaction from my tetnus shot, but I've never had a flu shot.

A guy I knew in high school never had any jabs because his oldest brother's first jab caused a mild (but expected) reaction. Plus, his parents were insane.

I've never gotten a flu shot, and I still rarely get the flu. (Maybe once every couple of years.) I don't think it's a conspiracy, but I also don't see the sense in me "taking" a vaccine away from someone who needs it more than I do.

Exactly,.. the immune system needs a work out. People who go to the doctors with the sniffles and get antibiotics are going to be more likely to get a cold or the flu more often than not.

It's free here in the Great White North (at least in the Province of Ontario).
I also got a prescription from Dr. brother-in-law for tammi-flu just in case the bird flu gets here.

Didn't get high but it did feel a bit like minor DTs. :)
