It seems to me that there are less posts lately...used to be I could hardly keep up with ONE thread, much less browse and post in more. Now I wait for ages for something interesting to be said...hell ANYTHING to be said, and the topics just don't seem to be hopping like they used to. Are we losing a lot of posters? I mean, there are plenty I haven't seen lately...but is this just my perception?

There's thing called 'school'... heh... :p and work... ;) so, not all of us can post all the time. But then you get people like me who have too much free time despite school.

I've been here a year and a half...and there is always school and work. I have never really seen an extended lull like this before.

Well, with less arrogant sentiment, I kind of agree. But it's less to do with the quality of the threads than it is the lack of posters...more threads seem kind of 'chatty' than the at-your-throat-battle-royales I so enjoy witnessing:(

I hope it's temporary...and I'm sure it is. It may be a changing of the guard as the older posters drop off and the new ones get comfortable.

I'm mixed blood... Irish/Welsh (I think there is some Scottish & English in there), Greek/Turkish, but 100% Canuck (or hoser if you will).

I think it may having something to do with the damned Jolt servers not responding a lot of the time - many people just don't have the patience and head to another forum.

I don't really know why; personally, I'm just running out of things to talk about since no one ever wants to discuss the economy and would prefer to waste their time on the nth intelligent design debate for 20 or 30 pages.

That's because most people - myself included - don't have enough experience or information to constructively debate economic affairs. Intelligent design is a nice, simply "Fuck God" debate: everyone can pile in on that.

Aye. I always make sure to at least dedicate my milestone posts to people. As for saving them for interesting threads, can't say I've ever done that. I might have for 10,000, but that's probably it.

It does seem quieter here recently... but the nso does NS generally. Our region is struggling to recruit anyone this time of year.

Well I've got a new full time job that I've been scooping up as much OT as possible for. I haven't had the time to be posting. It's unfortunate, but I need money more than I need NS.
