I've got their new toolbar on all my computers. Namely because of the Spellchecker and secondly for the pop-up blocker. The thing I've noticed though, is at some point I've activated Page-Ranker.

Apparently Google is sick of the Google-bot being ground to a screeching halt by the tonnes of bullshit lining the inter web. So, they've designed a program that get your computer to do it for them.

Oh they're evil alright. But the clever kind. They don't just slap spyware on you. The make it so it's easy for to mistakening activate it from a dozen places. But in plain site enough for you to shrug and not care.
