I woudl love to see the conservatives lose some seats this time. Harper's been a whiny bitch since he lost the election, it would be nice to see him get taken down a couple pegs.

Well, it's a reasonable prediction, and if it does come true it will very likely be because Harper is perceived as being too right-wing. Odd that Klein would be so candid about it, but I've got to admire his honesty anyway.

King Ralph two weeks ago: I will help Stevie. Go Conservative Go!!!

I like what Peter Mc Kay had to say about Klein:

""He said he was going to be helpful. This is not helpful," federal Conservative deputy leader Peter MacKay said.

Asked how internal disputes and too candid remarks should be handled, MacKay said "well, duct tape." :D

IF he gets taken down a couple of pegs, he will lose his job.

He didn't say that Harper was too far right, he said that Harper is perceived as being too far right, and he is correct on that count. I actually find Peter Mackay's comment regarding Duct Tape to be more worrisome than King Ralph's sober (!) observations on the difficulties the Conservatives face in Ontario. Ralphy did after say that it was a damn shame that the Liberals stood a good chance of winning a minority government, and he also said that he hoped he was wrong. Really, what he said is little different from what many other right-wing Canadians have said: that the Conservatives will have a tough time in Ontario.

Klein is also blamed for the election loss in 2004:

During the 2004 election, when Prime Minister Paul Martin won a minority government, some in the party blamed Klein for Harper's loss. In the lead up to election day, Klein said he would announce health-care reforms two days after voters went to the polls.

Martin jumped on the statement, accusing Klein of waiting until after the election in hopes a Harper-led Conservative government would allow him to violate the Canada Health Act.

Way a go Ralph!!!:D :D :D

That duct tape remark bothers me. Up till now I had thought that the Conservatives afforded their MPs more freedom of expression (particularily when it came to voting in Parliament) than the Liberals did. Perhaps things have changed for the worse.

He is just telling the truth. Most people do perceive Harper as being too far right. Especially for Canada. I like King Ralph he's a great premier. I think he should run the Federal Conservatives. By the way Alberta's surplus this year is more than Saskatchewan's whole Budget. I love it.
