Mostly sunny, 75 degrees outside (about 24 Celsius, if I remember correctly), wind from the south at approximately 5 mph. Much better than yesterday's "dreary and cold with a beautiful sunset", I suppose.

It really is gorgeous. Too bad I'm wasting the day cleaning my room up a bit and then going to work.....on my day off....

'Course there should be snow on Thanksgiving. If I have to put up with it every year (well, except this year, 'cause it was 67), somebody else should as well. Last year I got stranded at college and had to have Thanksgiving dinner with four other dorm dwellers who lived out of state, because the snow and ice was too thick on the turnpike. Chicken flavoured ramen is NOT a good substitute for a home-cooked meal.

Light Rain/Snow Flurries Cloudy, 35°

In America, everything is big - even the temperatures are high when it snows!

I think that +35 degrees is the record-high temperature here. That's the same as some "cold-blooded" people have for a body temperature. Currently, it's the usual Helsinki November weather, +3 degrees and drizzling. Go a few hundred kilometers north and you have nice, clean snow. But not in Helsinki.

It was dark - pitch black, really - when I left work at 6 this evening, in Toronto. It was cold, man. Cold, windy, snowing hard, and dark dark dark. It was cold and windy all day long, though. So the darkness was just the proverbial icing on the cake.

I was looking forward to some of those big soft wet snowflakes you associate with late fall. This felt more like the biting driving blowing snows of mid-January.

Brr.... Lower 20's. Frigid, cold air, clogging your lungs. At times, a bone-chilling wind that sweeps the frozen snow from the ground into your face. It snows on and off, the kind of snow that doesn't really lay, but just blows around in your face to irritate you.

And of course, all of this had to start on Thanksgiving, the day of our 4 day break... So when we go back to school on Tuesday, it will be bright and cheery again! :) :mp5:
