I virtually never watch TV, but Doctor Who. The first two Star Treks were also good.

What about "I loved 'em all"?

Outer Limits, best scary old sci-fi.

Lost in Space, best serio-comic sci-fi, at least the first season.

Star Trek, the triumvirate (Kirk, Spock, McCoy) kick ass across space, best star travelling socially-relevant non-scientific sci-fi. Never scary, always fun! (except for a couple excruciating episodes...)

:) ;) :D

I'm too young for this.....

OH twilight zone is awesome. My favorite is when the spaceship crashes, and in the snow the tracks lead to a small diner. And in the diner is a bus load of people that just stopped, and there all taking a break. They all start talking about it, when they decide that one of the people most be an alien. And then the busdriver notices there are 9 people they got of the bus, and he only remembers counting 8. So they all start acusing each other and cant leave because the bridge right by the diner the bus was gonna go on is closed, and well...... i cant tell the ending...

I never got into Dr. Who :( But I miss the old Star trek. Not having TV sucks! I wanna watch Star Trek, Star Trek:TNG, Star Gate, and other such shows

Of those on the poll, I have only watched Star Trek. Ridiculously unrealistic of course, but I like it and all its spin-offs.

I don't know about all of it's spin offs... I liked next generation and deep space nine, but voyager basically took the old shows (TOS, TNG) and played the exact same things in a different area of space. And I didn't take the time to get into Enterprise, aslthough it claims to be a seperate show from the series

Well, if changing the history of star trek counts as being separate....

I noticed that when it was on Sky television, they called it "Star Trek: Enterprise" anyway

I voted Star Trek even though, I have some of the old episodes on DVD

funny story, when my youngest was a baby with a bad case of colic, I could put on good ole Captin Kirk and his voice calmed her down. :)

btw little known fact, both of my kids are named after Star Trek characters (Voyager series)

actually kinda

My oldest is named Kathryn (after the captain of course)
and my youngest is named Annika (after Seven of Nine, it was her character's name pre-borg)

I'm nerdy enough to know who Kathryn and Annika are, but naming one's children after them puts me in the shade. :D

well, my husband is a trekkie big time (he has a TNG uniform and a phaser and a tricorder and everything)

I just really liked the qualities that those characters had, and I stayed up many nights when pregnant with Kathryn watching the last season of Voyager. We made a joke after she was born that we would name all our kids after Star Trek characters, Annika's name was almost Deanna. (then I decided to stick with Voyager characters):)

At least you only used names that sound normal. I pity the child who gets named "Tuvok".

Wow, am I the only one who watched Lost in Space as a kid? I used to love that show. Dr Smith always cracked me up. :)

Mind you, you left off both Dr Who AND Blakes' Seven, either of which I would have voted for above Lost in Space or Original Trek.

I like them all, but if I had to choose a favorite it would be Outer Limits. I've always been a fan of creepy shows.

Twilight Zone or Outer Limits

I loved all three of 'em. Star Trek was the Cadillac of American television Sci-Fi, but I still voted for The Outer Limits because it was that much more rare a program to catch, as it never enjoyed the sort of vigorous popularity in syndication that Star Trek certainly did, solidlyso, over the decades. In fact, I was (and continue to be) a fan of the anthology genre, of the single-episode, three-act teleplay, and a great admirer of the work of Rod Serling. I also love Lost In Space, in a fluffy, stupid, colourful sort of way.

Lemme do my own ranking, with additions:

1) The Prisoner

2) Star Trek

3) The Twilight Zone

4) Doctor Who

5) The Outer Limits

6) U.F.O.

And of times more recent, I'll say,

1) Doctor Who

2) Babylon Five

3) The Outer Limits

4) Enterprise (Yeah, yeah - they redeemed themselves with that last half-season before they got canned, what can I say?)

5) Red Dwarf

6) Uhh... ahhhh... shoot. 'Sliders', when John Rhys-Davies was still propping it up? Nahhh... ...Lexx? Nuh-uh. Oh great. Now I'm stumped. Now I'll go to bed and then wake up in the middle of the night and know just what I should have typed for number six. No... wait.. there it is! The number six thing of more recent things I like is the first item among not-so-recent things! The Prisoner! No, that's as lame as evacuating the Village with helicopters... I dunno... I can't get past my loathing of Andromeda enough to remember any of the other shows. Not Stargate, certainly. Or that snorefest, Battlestar Galactica.

Maybe we'll just call it quits at five. G'night, everybody.
