What is Agnostica? Does it involve sitting on a fence as some sort of ritual? ;) Does it even exist? (I'm thinking it doesn't)

Christmas.

What is Agnostica? Does it involve sitting on a fence as some sort of ritual? ;) Does it even exist? (I'm thinking it doesn't)It's a secular holiday invented in a webcomic.
It start at december 14 (I think), and ends at an indeterminate later date. It's in celebration of science.
It has a great gift-giving tradition. In fact, last year, it involved an international gift exchange. Which I told was quite fun. (Although a lot of work for the organiser)

I'll be celebrating Christmas, including Santa, Rudolph, Frosty, and the entire Island of Misfit Toys. Oh, and heavy on the Jesus. Advent is my favorite season of the year.

I'll also celebrate New Year's Eve with my immediate family and my aunt and uncle and cousins we always have a party with. It should be a good time.

I'm an Agnostic, and I celebrate Christmas. The only people who bitch about Christmas are the ones who don't have enough faith in their lack of faith!

I also enjoy it when Santa comes to my house, and I get him too drunk to finish his route, making millions of children cry. I'm an asshole, I know! HO HO HO! :D

The birthday of Sir Isaac Newton!

I know, I know, according to the Gregorian calendar Newton was born in January, but since England was still using the Julian calendar then Dec 25 it is.

CHRISTMAS!!!! It's my favorite holiday. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside (or maybe that's just all the alcohol I drink around this time of year;) )

If you're a Mexican you will be celebrating the Guadalupe-Reyes marathon. That is from the day of the Guadalupe (Dec 8) the day of the Wise Men (or Reyes, as they're known in Spanish, Jan 6). Every single day a celebration.

Christmas and my Birthday...

Jesus? Hooray! You came back!

Oh crap ... you're mad, aren't you ... look, dude, I can explain ... I know they weren't supposed to worship you, but there was so much money to be made!

What do you mean you never cared about money?!

Ok, dude, seriously. I though you preached that if people were poor they were to be ignored and stepped on and possibly exploited as workers for my great factory. Doesn't my great factory impress you?

What do you mean, "NO"?

Wait ... you're taking this other jack-ass poor idiot's gift of some fruit from some trees? Damnit, Jesus, I'm sick of your hypocrisy! The rich are all that matter in this world.

What do you mean, "the rich don't matter in the next world"? What about all my money and my fatted lambs that I offered you?

Wait ... where are you taking me? Oh crap ... I have to learn a life lesson?! Damnit, Jesus ... you used to be so marketable!

[This brief interlude has been brought to you by the letters F and R and by the numb 9]

I will be celebrating Capitolism Day. You know, that day were all the corporations gang up on their workers and give them the choice of returning all the money they've earned that year, or be social outcasts.

Nominally Christmas, though none of us are Christian, so there'll be no church or Jesusy stuff. We use it as a good occaision for our family to get together, eat good food, drink good wine & enjoy eachothers' company. Also to play some hackey sack. Then on Boxing Day (the 26th & also a public holiday) we go to the MCG, sit in the sun, eat left over food from Christmas Day & celebrate the cricket.

I'll be celebrating the holidays: a ten-day break from one workplace; a four-week break from the other two; and three months until university starts again next year.

I love Christmas, but not for any religious reasons.
