Hi. It's me, BAMABAMBAmabaaam. I was just wondering if there was anyone there from the UK, and, if so, how bad the weather is. Here it is FREEEZING and I wouldn't be surprised if it snowed. Why am I still wearing just a T-shirt?? (plus underwear, jeans and socks etc., you manic maniac!)

There are very many people here from the UK. And the weather isn't bad. Bad is rain. Bad is very strong wind. Cold isn't bad. Cold with clear skies is beautiful.

Not if it's minus 13 it isn't...

-13 really isn't bad. Cold isn't bad. Just wet and windy.

And, ok, maybe cold with clear skies...a nice winter anticyclone, with a bit of frost about, and an early morning mist....isn't beautiful for you, but where I live it most definitely is.

There are loads of us from the UK. [subliminal message]Move to the NS region of England.[/subliminal message] I tend to like weather most people regard as bad - I can't cope with hot weather we have during summer (sometimes).

yes, i live in stoke and lets just say... it's very foggy... the only place i've seen worse fog is in the isle of man, and that was extreme fog where you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face.

It is damn cold. Especially when you have a stupid school who has decided you're not allowed indoors at lunch or break unless it rains. - 0 degrees is fine though....

Really? When I was trekking at altitude in the Andes it was near -30 at night. We were sleeping in tents, and our water bottles (inside the tents) froze solid overnight. So did the porridge we'd made to heat in the morning.

Cold is awesome. The Met. office says it's going to snow this week. Though probably less likely as far inland as Cambridgeshire...

Well, during summer here, days up to 40 degrees are common, and a cold winters day is usually not less than 10 degrees.

heh reminds me of dartmoor (not as bad though)... the stream that managed to find its way into our tent overnight froze solid and i remember having to beat the outside of the tent to get the frozen dew off... not fun. especially worse when you only had one dry sleeping bag between three of you

-13 Degrees Celcius isn't that bad. It was around -10 Celsius the other day here in Minnesota. I'm waiting for it to get to below zero in Ferinheight. It gets down to -20 Ferinheight easily during the winter here in Minnesota.

Think of it this way. It can get down to -31.67 degrees Celsius easily during the day here in Minnesota. Now that is damn cold...

You went trekking in the Andes? Sweet! That must have been an absolutely incredible experience - what was it like? D'you have any pics you'd be willing to share?

I myself am quite an enthusiastic mountaineer - I've done a bit in New Zealand (lol, we went up one mountain since that was all we had time for, I'd love to go back and do more though), some in Austria/France sort of region, and a bit in Scotland. Every year me and my family go to the Lake District for two weeks, and I've got to admit, even after 16 years (since I was born I was climbing lol - my first unaided mountain was Helvelyn :D) it's still fantastical.

Oh and btw, when we go to the Lakes, it rains. A lot. All the time. The best we've had is a flash flood in Wasdale and a hailstorm halfway up Dove Crag I think it was. In mid summer. I love it :D It's brilliant.

I think miserable and bad pretty much sums up this country. Currently in Billericay, Essex it's 3 degrees, wet, very densely foggy and dark.

I'm 16 and already fed up to the back teeth of it all. (Weather, life, self, everything)

Come to think of it, at the next poll (we're due another one) about 'left and right', I should put cynicism as my ideology...

Argh! I, as a Scot now living in merrie England, hate it when people imply that England and UK are synomous! I've had enough "highly amusing" jokes about Scotland to drive even the queen into the arms of the SNP. Bah...humbug...

I'll just blame any bad grades/behaviour/attitude on their neglect of my wellbeing....

Hehe, that happened to my parents. Or something like that. I think they somehow managed to set up their tent in the middle of a stream.... but they didn't know it was a stream  it must have rained in the night or something....

Dumbass. There's a perfectly reasonable way of getting the deodorant out the mirrored cabinet and you go and do that ludicrous method. Tsk.

*reaches for hammer*

This is how it's done...
