So many of people can sit behind their computers and bash the soldiers of America, France, Germany, Iraq.....but all soldiers have something in common, unconditional love. Any race, creed, or sex follows the same thinking in times of war, protect your "brothers" for they are all you have on the battlefield.

Personally speaking, I would not have the courage to pull the trigger on someone....not after what I saw. It takes a lot to kill someone, especially if it is an innocent life that has simply been manipulated in times of war.

Personally speaking, I would not have the courage to pull the trigger on someone....not after what I saw. It takes a lot to kill someone, especially if it is an innocent life that has simply been manipulated in times of war.
It's all over the map, IMHO. People enter the service for all kinds of reasons. There's a serious core of idealists who join, yes, but there are probably just as many who join for the benifits, or as a way to escape their current lives, or a way to "find themselves," or whatever.

Personally speaking, pulling the trigger on someone either comes automatically or comes because you force yourself to do it. My first time came virtually automatically because of my training. The soul-searching came later.
