For something like that, don't use google, use Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving).

I thought it happened on the Monday following Remembrance Day - but then again, I'm not American. We have our (Canadian) Thanksgiving at harvest time, in October.

So it hasn't happened yet?

You all have big plans for Turkey Day down there?

Oh ... and it's on the 4th Thursday of every November. Thanks Keru.

Not me ... I don't do Thanksgiving. I'm sure I'll watch football.

Would it be normal to have a thanksgiving dinner on Saturday at like... right now?

You can have a dinner of thanksgiving whenever you want. The official holiday, according to Congress, is on the 4th Thursday of November.

Because I asked this girl out for this Saturday, and she said:

"i dont know....my older sister is coming home this weekend adn were having an american thanksgiving on saturday"

Verify validity of claim, please. And the claim is not suspicious, so if there's a chance of it being true, it probably is.

Out of curiosity, anyone know why Thanksgiving is always on the 4th Thursday of November?

Yes I know...Wikipedia...

I don't know where I'd be without those guys...

Lol ... well ..... depends, really. Maybe the older sister can't come around for the actual day, so the family is doing something this weekend instead. *shrug*

Best way to validate a claim is to show up at her house, throw open the door, and shout "AHA!"

Because it says so in the Bible.

FDR said so. He moved it from where Lincoln put it.

The day before the stores are filled with madwomen rushing around at 4AM to take advantage of Day-After-Thanksgiving sales and buying five televisions to put on lay-away for Christmas.

Size can be deceiving. Put me behind turkey and gravy and I'll show you! That and pizza (non franchised pizza that is). And think of this way.....I have a lot more room to expand. ;)
