One time I was thinking in my math class (happens not very often) and I thought.

If we someday get time machines in some 1,000-1,000,000 years from now, why don't we see people from the future? They might be in secret, but since we have no proof that they exist of don't exist, that might mean that we get killed off soon! Or we might shun tech in the future.

This is just for a conversation, and I will not be able to see this that much because I'm going on vacation tomorrow. :D

maybe this time location is just too damned boring. like taking a vacation to toledo instead of orlando.

Or it could just be that time travel is impossible...

They aren't here because the 21st century is the South Central of the space time continuum; you avoid it when possible.

Either time travel is impossible, or changing the past creates a new timeline rather than altering the present.

There's another possibility. Brian Greene, in The Fabric of the Cosmos, hypothesized several types of time machine. They all had an interesting property: They did not allow travel backwards through time to a point before the machine itself was built. In other words, if you build a time machine, then somebody from the future could get into it and be transported into the same machine at an earlier point in time.

So the lack of time travellers from the future doesn't mean that we'll never have time travel. It just means that we don't have it yet.

I have to agree with Ashmoria: Why the fuck would they be visiting us in the 00's? What would they do here?

But most likely it's because time machines don't exist.

You must have the most boring math class on the face of the planet.
