I voted for lasagna... the kind with beef and sausage, good sauce, ricotta instead of cottage cheese, etc.

I love pizza, but I must confess I prefer the Americanised version thereof. I therefore voted spagetti; the old favorite of Spagetti Bolognese is a classic.

i love Bolognese sauce... nice and meaty.

I love 'em all :) And I can cook some of those on the poll. Never tasted baked zitti however.

ziti are short tubes (sorta like penne)

the dish of which i speak is baked with marinara, mozzarella, ricotta, maybe even parmesan cheese.

Nick's in Nashville does a great baked ziti... it's got a ton of ricotta cheese in the dish, with mozzarella covering it all, and the sauce is perfect

What style of American pizza do you prefer?I like the flat base. My favourite toppings are pepperoni and jalapenos - heavenly! :)

Hmm...Either canniloni, or this one pasta dish that has bow tie pasta, capicolla ham, carmelized garlic, carmelized onions, and a fettucini sauce. Good gods, it is good.

oh god... i can't choose... lasagne, bolognese, canneloni, pizza, calzone...they're all too good to choose one :)
can cook em all bar the pizzas (to my own nice 'n' meaty recipe). heh, people complain that my bolognese is more greek style than italian but thats the way i like it damnit :P

oh, and the italians know how to do ice cream


edit: my cheese sauce rules. i know how much you like cheese sauces glitz, in case you're reading, so you better try mine :D
