it sounds like it could be a lot of fun, but also a big risk - what are your thoughts

I played back in the day. The graphics were subpar but supposedly they updated them a bit. I didn't enjoy it very much. I started out in the middle of nowhere next to an empty building. I wandered around what looked to be a desert finding nothing but a tree or two. Eventually I ran into a giant worm-like thing, I smacked it with my sword and it killed me in two hits. Oh well, maybe things changed since then.

I haven't played it but I have heard about it. And from what I've heard, it's just like any other MMORPG, except there is the potential to lose or gain money. I've also heard from someone who plays the game that you can "work" 80 hours a week collecting gems and whatnot and get about $200 bucks. Perhaps it's not true but that information right there turned me off of the game.
