Is this film ever going to see theatrical release in the USA? I've heard good things about it, but it seems it was only shown at film festivals. Anyone got any info?

Is this film ever going to see theatrical release in the USA? I hope so. If done right it would make a hellova action film.

Stellan SkarsgÄrd is in it. He's a good actor....and checking his bio...damn, he's been in a lot of stuff!
Hope it gets released here, or at least in our 'indie' flick cinema the IFI thingy.

Good God, would I love to see this! Better than that sorry Christopher Lambert take, I'll bet. However, do we know that there is a US take on the poem being made for 2007? BAM! (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0442933/) Hopefully it will fall closer to the original than the first US take. Ugh.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0402057/It probably won't be shown anytime soon. The Harry Potter Juggernaut is rolling out another chapter here in a couple of days and C.S. Lewis Epic '' The Narnia Chronicles'' is due around Christmas,so i think to avoid getting lost in the shuffle we won't see it until the spring at the earliest,if at all.
Hp GoF is already out here I think - .
Besides, can anyone remember if Beo beats Grendel over the head with its own arm after he rips it off? Its buggin the h*ll outta me..

Nope: Each was hateful to the other
alive. The horrible monster endured
a wound: the bone-locks
of his shoulder gave way,
and his sinews sprang out.
The glory of battle went to
Beowulf, and Grendel,
mortally wounded,
sought his sad home
under the fen slope.
He knew surely that
his life had reached its end,
the number of his days gone.
Grendel slinked away as fast as he could after having his freakin' arm ripped off. :p
And Goblet is released in America tomorrow, fyi. :)

If you really want to see someone beaten to death with his own arm, may I suggest this film?
http://imdb.com/title/tt0092848/
A guy hacks off the arm of his attacker with a machete and beats the hell out of him with it.

Oooh. That's a fun movie. I remember first seeing that when I was around 13 or so. Had nightmares for about a week.
