Looking around on Google, it seems to be somewhat legit, but the phishing sense is going off.

And Amazon.com's site is strangely silent about this.

There's a lot of weird kids on the internet that would gladly spend a spend of their lives doing this and making $100 in a go.

Scam site. It is not on Amazon servers yet requires you to use an Amazon account and no its own account. All verificationals links are to legit areas on the amazon.com servers so as to make the appearance of a legit site.

Are you sure? It's a redirect from the Amazon domain mturk.amazon.com and has been featured on Slashdot amongst others...

Yeah....seriously, this looks dodgy, and if Amazons website isn't saying anything, I wouldn't act on it. If you really, really want to try this, and I'd advise against it personally, email Amazon and enquire about its legitimacy.

Amazon's site doesn't mention it except for here http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html/102-5816363-5326561?node=3435361

and here

and a whole variety of other places. Google is a magical thing!

You can redirect to anywhere from anywhere.

I used Amazon's own web search engine and didn't turn up any of those links. Useless engine.

They do one hell of a job hiding their webservices, you have to go into help, then pick Services, then pick web services but it isn't there, oh no, it is in another link on the web services page you have to follow.

You can redirect to anywhere from anywhere.

Not if you don't have control of the originating domain or a whole swathe of intermediate network architecture in the first place!

Go to www.amazon.com (Don't copy and paste, type it in yourself, that way you know I'm not using funky european characters.)

Click "Sell Your Stuff"
Click "Web Services"
Click "Announcing Amazon Mechanical Turk"

Scroll down, click "mturk.amazon.com" and you will be sent to the initial link in this thread.
