...was your application serious? Just curious.
Mines was. Although I know many peoples' weren't.
I know we have a lot of fun on NationStates -- but what is the point of creating a phoney application? Don't our mods and admins have enough to do without having to wade through crap?
I sure hope there haven't been many fakes.

Believe it or not, mine was serious. About as serious as I get around here anyway.

i would have made a serious application had i had the skills necessary to be admin
since i don't i figured i'd save them the effort of reading through yet more crap (amusing for us, not for them)
I made an amusing, yet legitimate application. A lot of it was simple "Are you at least smart enough to use the internet?"

Same here. I read "sql" and "perl" and I thought "HHmmm, I have no idea how to do that.

You and your special codes! When I was a child the only code we had was morse code! And we were damn happy for it.
Nah, I didn't send in a fake application, I'm far too lazy to actually go through that much effort, especially since they'd simply have read the first answer and thrown it away with a sigh of disgust.

Too complicated to be an admin... And you have to speak English very well, I presume  ...
