Bloody Liberal Media...

Now I'm normally the first to call Newscorp out for being blatently rightwing and a massvie propaganda tool. However, I'm increasingly concerned over Newscorp holdings in Australia that seem to be pandering to what I call the "Krazy Left". You know the guys, the one's who think the Boxing Day Tsunami was caused by bombs in Iraq or that think driving past a stranded women's car because she has a Republican Party bumper sticker is cool.
Not going as far as to say this is some kind of evil Newscorp plot to shame the Left, I will it is suspect...
Then again. maybe it's a nice break from listening to news reports that centre on everyone who is not a christian rightist being a possible terrorist...

Sorry, I was over in II. I'll try and find one I can provide a source for.
They're probably fed up of people calling them right wing nutcases.

I shudder to do this, but I've been reduced to quoting www.brooksnews.com. Kind of a ringtwing media watch, of soughts. *shudder*
The Australian is a good example, though it's more a balance between the
"Krazy Left" and "Looney Right" to "da max".

If you haven't noticed, that's the future of the media.

Well look there is a black man suffering after Katrina he must be a thief.
Of course this is a blatant lie...

Well, I do love to drive past stranded people with republican stickers... but to be fair, I would do it to a democrat, too.

I love that guy. During Katrina, he managed to tote the booze. :D
Dude, I didn't have that kind of beer commitment in college.

Since I wouldn't stop for anybody, for fear that I might end up being ambushed and gangraped*, I am unfairly deprived of my right to use callousness as a political statement.
*Normal rape isn't such a problem, but when there are more than 2 other people, I am bound to get confused and someone will get more sex then someone else and that would be terribly unfair and cause bad feelings.

Perhaps you need one of those "Take a Number" type things...

You know what the problem is with the "krazy left" and the "looney right"?
For the most part, it's the ignorance.
People are complaining about the over-exposure of the errors of the Republican Party, and immediately resort to pointing out that its the 'Liberal' Media thats causing the overexposure. But, maybe the Media in general has a focus on the wrongs of the party with the most control because if you have a whole lot of Republicans, its more likely that they're the ones who will mess up.
So, let me ask you this: Where was the 'Liberal Media', particularly the 'liberal' bias supposedly entrenched in CNN, during Katrina? I remember many stories that clearly pointed to the wrongs of the Democrats within Louisiana. Hell, even the Daily Show painted democrats as in the wrong - and they're as liberal as fake news can get.
My main qualms - people believe in media bias when the media goes against what they believe, -even- when what the media is telling is the truth. The accusations of bias in the media mostly come from people desiring -their- version of the truth to be what is read, not necessarily -the- truth. Yes, you will get channels like CBS (which I believe is very Democratic-biased <not Liberal... you guys don't even know what Liberalism is. Stop using the word until you find out>) and FOX News (which is just as clearly biased as CBS), however for the most part the media is centrist.
It takes a Centrist to see that.

Not as funny as the "Support our Troops" stickers.
Anyone informed these people that you can actually 'support the troops' and be against the bush at the same time; or has the US already crossed that 1984 threshold?

I wouldn't stop to help a stranded motorist who had a Republican bumper sticker. It'd be...EAT MY DUST, REPUBLICAN PIG!!
Why should I feel any different? The Republican would gladly leave me starving in the street, with no notice, while he drives off in his Beemer...so why should I care when it's THEM that are stranded? To hell with them, let them work out their own problems...that's what they constantly tell us poor people!!
