I'm sitting here, listening to some tunes, and I listened to one of my favorite songs, and it hit me. "Hey, this should be Americas theme song!" So what song do you think best represents your country?

Mine is "Don't tread on me (http://www.az-song-lyrics.com/song_251774.html)" by Metallica. Or "A Country Boy can Survive" by Hank Williams jr.

Beneath the Southern Cross I stand
A sprig of wattle in my hand
A native in my native land
Australia, you bloody beauty.

Proclaimed with a beer in one hand & the other arm around your mate's shoulder.

For Britain, it can only be 'Three lions on the shirt'. Sung in a bar by a hundred drunk football fans.

Or maybe 'Dance on a Volcano' by genesis. "Better start doing it right...."

I'm an American, but I think that the Netherlands could change theirs to the themesong from the kids' show, "H.R. Puf 'n stuff"

I'm an American, but I think that the Netherlands could change theirs to the themesong from the kids' show, "H.R. Puf 'n stuff"
H.R. Pufnstuf,
Who's your friend when things get rough?
H.R. Pufnstuf,
Can't do a little, cause you can't do enough.

Once upon a summertime,
just a dream from yesterday,
a boy and his magic golden flute
heard a boat from off the bay.
"Come and play with me Jimmy,
Come and play with me,
and I will take you on a trip
far across the sea-ea-ea-ea-ea."

But the boat belonged to a cooky old witch,
who had in mind the flute to snitch.
From her vroom-broom in the sky,
she watched her plan with an erie old eye.
She waved her wand,
the beautiful boat was gone,
the skys grew dark,
the sea grew rough,
and the boat sailed on and on and on and on and on and on.

But Pufnstuf was watching too
and knew exactly what to do.
He saw the witch's boat attack,
and as the boy was fighting back,
he called his rescue racer crew,
as often they'd reherse,
and off to save the boy there flew.
"But who would get there first?"
And now the boy had washed ashore,
and Puf arrived to save the day,
which made the witch so mad and sore,
she shook her fist and screamed awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

H.R. Pufnstuf,
who's your friend when things get rough?
H.R. Pufnstuf,
can't do a little cause you can't do enough.
H.R. Pufnstuf,
who's your friend when things get rough?
H.R. Pufnstuf,
can't do a little cause you can't do enough.

Closing Theme: (performed by The Boyds)
You've got
someone who loves you,
You've got
someone who cares,
You've got
someone who picks you up
ifever you need a repair,
You've got
someone who'll take the time
to listen to your prayers.

I've got
You've got
everybody you got,
someone who cares,
by the name of,
H.R. Pufnstuf,
who's your friend when things get rough?
H.R. Pufnstuf,
can't do a little cause you can't do enough.

I've got
You've got
everybody you got,
someone who cares,
by the name of,
H.R. Pufnstuf,
who's your friend when things get rough?
H.R. Pufnstuf,
can't do a little cause you can't do enough.

We'll just ignore the fact that Three Lions happens to be the most hated song in 3 out of the 4 countires that make up the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Northern Ireland will we?

Maybe "We are the road crew" by motorhead or simply "The trooper" by Iron maiden.

Right then, I'm offering odds of 2-1 that someone whose hasn't listened to the verses says 'Born In The USA' should be the song of America.

I agree with Don't Tread On Me for the USA. For Drunk Commies it's

Garnett's Home-Made Beer. (sung to the tune of Barret's Privateers.)

GARNETT'S HOMEMADE BEER
(Ian Robb)

1. Oh the year was nineteen seventy-eight,
(How I wish I'd never tried it now,)
When a score of men were turned quite green
By the scummiest ale you've ever seen

Chorus:
God damn them all,
I was told this beer was worth its weight in gold
We'd feel no pain, shed no tears,
But it's a foolish man who shows no fear
At a glass of Garnett's homemade beer.

2. Now Garnett Rogers cried the town
(how I wish I'd never tried it now,)
For 20 brave men all masochists who
Would taste for him his homemade brew.

3. This motley crew were a sickening sight
(how I wish I'd never tried it now,)
There was caveman Dave with his eyes in bags
He'd a hard-boiled liver and the staggers and jags.

4. We hadn't been there but an hour or two
(how I wish I'd never tried it now,)
When a voice said "Give me some homemade brew"
As steeleyed Stan hove into view.

5. Now steeleyed Stand was a frightening man
(how I wish I'd never tried it now,)
He was eight foot tall and four foot wide
Said "pass that jug or I'll tan your hide.

6. Stan took one sip and pitched on his side
(how I wish I'd never tried it now,)
Garnett was smashed with a cupful of dregs
And his breath set fire to both me legs.

7. Now here I am with my 23rd beer
(how I wish I'd never tried it now,)
It's six long years since I felt this way
On the night before my wedding day.

Well, if we get to sing fun songs for the US anthem, I propose, "Sally The Blow-Up Doll"

But I can't post the lyrics here...

A Country Boy Can Survive? The site's exceeded it's bandwith, but I do like that song. One of the UFC fighters uses it as his ring music. Matt Hughes I think.

Yep. The Iceman kicks ass, but I'm hoping to see Forrest Griffin or Steven Bonner fight again soon. Especially Forrest. He's not just a tough SOB, he's a character too!

Bonner/Forrest was, without a doubt, the most amazing, action packed fight Ive ever seen! Cool how they offered Bonner a contract on the spot!
